Evolution
    #7508918 - 10/11/07 01:17 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Can you see the human race evolving physically? What would come of us?

What we will notice is mental change, change in people's mentality, change in the way we act towards one another, even change how we think of ourselves.

Physical change?

Psychological change?

What kind do you see happening sooner then the other?

Of course psychological chagne right?

I mean we can get taller, shorter, wider, in physical terms. We are all diffierent physically, we have different trade marks in our evolution as a human. We all start as babies then make our way to adulthood.

We as a whole, the nation, our culture, our society can change drastically.

But when you speak of love and compassion not everyone is willing to do so, people hate, people lie, people steal. What else is new?

If we see a drastic change it'll be with spiritual and philisophical beliefs. People will start to agree with eachother if it is meant to be that way. We will always think differently. We can come to conclusion on things and still make out ok.

Anyway enough of what i think,

What do you think?

Peace,
Droz

I don't see it. I think cultures like Rome were more fully immersed in the philosophical and spiritual beliefs that we like to think are originating in our current culture. I think we're slipping into darkness at this time in history. "Twas ever Thus"

I hope I can evolve the ability to synthesise my own serotonin and cannabinoid variants. To be able to see molecules with my minds eye would be hella tight.

And laser beam eyes would be useful too.

physically, I can see possibly better knees. Then again, since survival of the fittest doesn't seem to be as big a factor anymore, I wouldn't be surprised to see a de-evolution, with degenerate diseases and accomodations holding us back.

Maybe we'd develop a UV lens on our cornea with the deteriorating ozone!! That's what the vulcans had to cope with they strong sun!!!

We're going forward to make it easier to go backwards.

I see all of us as the exact same person with no sex organs or personality; just beings made in a laboratory to insure 'perfect' people. We will evolve to the point of extinction without realizing it.

So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

My mother rented a video called Indigo, it was about indigo children how they girl could read minds and predict the future.

I've had plenty of occasions where i percieve something in my third eye then it come true later on in the day.

They call it schizophrenia. WTF!

Evolution is a physical process, not psychological, as psychological traits are not transmitted via our genes.  Any physical changes to humans will be on the level of things which interfere with successful reproduction (i.e. infertility, pre-pubescent mortality, damage to sperm or ovum resulting in non-viable embryos, etc...), and not things which merely increase the likelihood of premature death (prior to age 75).

Psychological changes fall under the category of "improvement" or "degeneration."  Most of the psychological changes which are demonstrated by the cultural shifts of the past 100 years would be termed "degeneration."  Improvements seem to occur on a very individual basis, and receive little or no cultural support.

If we do see a major alteration in our available resources in the future, the psychological changes may become shifted towards improvement, but I see it as much more likely that they will take a sharp turn into degeneration on a widespread basis.  People panic if the store is out of their favorite brand of peanut butter---imagine the chaos if the stores were out of everything?

I've considered this question in the past and always held this funny notion that in a few thousand years we'd look exactly like how we depict extra-terrestrials. i.e. small bodies, large heads and eyes

the logic behind this is that as we rely more and more on technology, physical strength and agility become less important and maybe even liabilities.

I'm afraid those kinds of changes would take more than a few thousand years.

There's a geologist that supposedly worked on underground tunnels/bases for the US.
He says they are here already and they run the show from beneath.
Crazy.
Youtube him. Kind of interesting.
Or scary.
Or whatever.
And exciting somehow.
