Where should we head as a species?

After reading the evolution post i decided to write this one. Sorry it will be short and alot of questions. I hope i get some good replies.

Knowing what you know now, and what you think you may learn in the future. If you are a believer in evolution or a believer in creation. Where would you like this species to head? We can build great weapons of destruction and also great peace. There are people out there on a search for truth and discovery to help them answer a question as such. For me id like to see nano-technology advance very far. Just imagine how far technology can go. Also if you like to think about evolutionary change. Where are we heading? Are we better off with these technologies that can prolong life? As life goes on and the population rises society will change and so will life among us. Computers allow us to talk to people all over this planet... It's great isnt it!? So try and think about the things you now know. Then think about the things you know you don't know. And abracadabra... Think about the possibility of things you dont know you dont know. Some place out in left field you will be ecstatic at this new knowledge. Well let know what you think about this. Hey and while you are at it. How was everybody's day? Mine was great! Weee

I think that the human race has a great potential, but we are a very very young still clinging to material possesion and playing diffrent types of ego games.
This will eventuayl change where people will put others first rarther than there own little world.

But this will mean the end to giant corparations and power hungry goverments as it is these that are stopping the development of the human race. They tell you how to act what to buy through T.V and most of the poppulation go along with everthing they say. There is even T.V shows over here in the U.K where they basicly try to get the contestants to be back stabbing bastards towards each other so that they can win the game. Then they make Psychedelics illigal cos they want a population of robots not free thinking individuials.

But sadly for the human race to evolve it will mean some sort of huge disaster to destroy the way we live and to bring chaos. So that we can rebuild the world in a diffrent way and after that space travel, communication with aliens and may be Peace on earth.

As far as technology goes we must remember not to let technology enslave us.
Technology is a tool not a trap. How many of you could light a fire without matches or a lighter.
