QUICK! Need an ID in the PNW

Habitat: PNW. Soil with cedar chips sprinkled by gardeners. No dung or manure. rotting plant matter, no grass.
Cap: Yellowish/beige
Stem: White, does not bruise blue, bruises same color as cap.
Gills: No gills exposed yet?
Theres a lot of these nuggets lying around so I'm hoping this is promising. I think it looks kinda like a ringer?
Spore print soon to come!

looks like a good contender for Stropharia. Agaricus is another possibility.
to look at the gills, pull up on the edge of the cap where it meets the veil to pull half or part of it apart from the rest of the cap. the gills will be very crowded together but this will let you see the color of the gills during immaturity., along with the gill attachment.

here is a picture of Stropharia ambigua, a common Stropharia species in woodlands, parks and landscaping. this photograph was actualy taken in one of my P. cyanescens/friscosa patches, about 12 inches from some friscosas and 6 feet or so from a seperate fruiting of classic, if small P. cyanescens.
no Stropharias are active and none are really good edibles.

no. A pic of what looks like to be the same species was posted a day ago. It came up in a topic about cubensis in washington, lol.

they do bear resemplance in many respects to Psilocybes and while the genus might not be a natural grouping, many species are believed, or have been believed to be closely related to the Psilocybe genus [though not to the clade containing the active species]. P. cubensis was once thought to belong to the genus Stropharia.

Cubes do not grow in the PNW. You really need to find out what the possible actives are in your area, then study study study. Then hunt.

with most active species, in most specimens, yes, however; with some active species there is little or no blueing to be seen in some or even most specimens.
