My Accidental Misting Tek - Please Advise

I have my first two casings (ever) going and due to lack of experience it took a lot longer than usual for the myc to pop out the top. Needless to say they started getting lighter brown and dry which I learned was not a good thing. I talked to Cap Cubensis about misting and he pointed me in the right direction. Also I must note that my first casing which is a test case has already started fruiting nicely so I was told I would have to be really careful when misting. When I came home at lunch time I accidentally ajusted my dial on my humidity controller to the max so my ultra sonic was pumping from lunch until I came home after work. I opened up and planned to mist but was greeted by a thick fog. Whoops I thought. When I brought the casings into the light it appeared that they had been perfectly saturated and there are no harmful water drops resting anywhere. The casing (50/50 verm & peatmoss) is now a healthy dark dark brown like when I first put them into the chamber. I put them back and re-adjusted my humidity controller back down to 85-90% RH
My question to the board is does anyone think this was not good enough and I still will have to mist? Do you think this accidental tek will work? My other casing (the one with no surface activity just yet) is damp to the touch and the fruiting one looks just the same (i didnt touch that one of course)

misting isn't that necessary for casings if its damp to the touch and dark colored I think you're fine when you see mycelium poke through/knotting that is when you are supposed to stop misting. I still lightly mist my FC and the casings from a distance after that point and it still seems to fruit just as good

You want to get the right consistency in your casing layer, and only you can hold a chunk of that casing material.
Read as many descriptions of perfect moisture content as you can, then you will have to try some experimentation.
Trial and error are your friends.
Do smaller, less consequential casings when trying out different moisture contents.
When you are new to casing, it is best to not put all of your eggs in one basket, until you master the tek.

Sweet. Yeah Cap I read up quite a bit on the correct moisture levels. The casings after my "accident" were damp to the point of you almost being able to see it which I've read is where you want it. Wish me luck!

Get your humidity up to the mid 90's and they will pin better. You should mist daily. If you have the amount of air exchange the mushrooms require for best results, the casing layer will dry out if you fail to mist. RR

Cool Rog! Just turned it up to around 95. I currently fan 2-3 times a day. I was thinking about hooking up a large fish tank double output air pump (above the FC of course because CO2 sinks) to get nice FAE going
