HELP Please. My Mushrooms are tearing.(Pics)

I noticed the stem of my largest mushroom starting to tear about two days ago and now the cap has split apart. This has also happended to another smaller mushroom today. I dont know what to do, the mushrooms feel very dry when i touch them and the color has faded a little. I havnt been misting alot lately so i will start misting more. Do you think my mushroom is beyond recovery or will it be ok if i continue to mist. My humidity is at about 90%.

Also my other 4 cakes arent pinning yet and i put them in th FC about 3 days ago, is this a problem?

It's too dry in there!
I try not to mist the actual mushrooms. Also, most humidity meters need to be calibrated and you could actually have 75% humidity and believe it's 90.
What are you doing to keep it humid?

You need to put that tray in a larger bin with an RH close to 99%, numerous humidity teks exist online, search the posts for humidity tek, or RH.

Then that is strange, still, seems like a higher humidity would help, perhaps they are mutants?

if you have damp perlite, then I think that your temperature is too low - and I don't trust your humidity meter.

Me neither, get another gage, compare them to see if they agree.
Sounds like drying out to me and everyone else, so raise your humidity and it should stop.

If you want to really save it. Pick of all pins and aborts, fill a container with tap water, place the cake in the water with something to hold it under water completly, leave it for twelve hours, then rebirth in a FC with 4-5 inches of rinsed and well drained perlite and some holes drilled into the side of the chamber for FAE(do not cover up holes with tape or polyfill), use some lighting for 12/12 and that cake should pin like its brand new and you will never have to mist it. Good Luck.

What size holes? Also, how deep is the perlite layer? Those fruits are suffering from low humidity. It's ok to mist fruits. You just don't want them sealed up while still wet. RR

Yep low humidity as RR said above. I do not know what you are using to gage humidity, but if it is saying 90% I would be suspect of it. Also taking them out of the FC to take pics isn't helping. If you answer RR's questions, you will get great advice.
Maybe do like another poster said above, Pick the cake clean then do a 24 hour dunk then rebirth like it just came out of the jar. It would help put the moisture back into that cake.

Indeed, obviously low humidity. Forget the specific name for that condition, highly sought after in certain edibles, though. Look for the salt hygrometer calibration tek, assuming your instrument has a calibration function...

The holes are about 1 cm in diameter and i am using about 2 inches of damp perlite in a tub that I think is about 50 liters.
I tried the salt calibration tek but my humidity gauge cannot be calibrated.
Also, I taped up all the holes last night except for the ones on the very bottom of the side (underneath the perlite layer), and i checked the humidity gauge and it read past 100%.
I was also wondering, why shouldn’t I seal up the fruits while they are still wet?
And thanks for all you help.
