Shaggy Manes in Houseplants

We always toss our leftover spawn into the potted plants. These are some we keep outdoors on our balcony. Last spring when I did a shaggy mane grow, I gave the left-over spawn to mrs rabbit to use when she was planting these, and we both forgot all about them. . .until we saw this when we got up this morning. A similar thing happened to me with a buried block of P.ostreatus. I and Miss Funga buried it on may, after 3 flushes, then gave us other 2 flushes..so at the 5th flush commonly you consider it dead and buried(!)..but after the rain, some days ago Funga ringed me...

the zombie block was back again!

Nice. I'll bet it flushes a few more times. I still have a cake outside that roadkill inoculated for the DVD back in November of last year. It flushed twice indoors, and then I just stuck it on the surface of a houseplant that is kept outdoors on the balcony. It flushed a few more times before the cold weather hit, and then this spring, it began flushing again. I lost count at 11 flushes. It only throws one or two fruits anymore, but it's still cool and is fruiting now for possibly the 15th or 16th flush. RR
