getting back into it
    #7503899 - 10/10/07 12:27 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Hello,

First off I just want to say hello to everyone. I used to grow mush a while ago, about 5 years ago or so. Gave it up to grow smoke, but I smoke too much. So I decided to get back into this nice hobby. I have a couple quetions that I figured i'd ask in my introduction of my self. I have about half a burlap sack of rye berries that I have had stored in a closet for thoes 5 or so years and is there a shelf life on thoes, cause there is a bunch there, ive tried to search for the answer but only answers on substrate and brf and stuff. I also lost my ratio paper that I had on the brf, fine vermiculite, and h2o, could somone refresh me please. I also have very course vermiculite that is almost empty that I used along with some peat moss for the casting, the problem is the only store w/in a 40 mile radius that I found it has been shut down last I drove past there. I got it at some weired insulation provider. since its hard to find, could somone give me a link for a new recipie. I have mad peat moss and plenty of dolomite lime left from me plants. Sorry for the one big paragraph. Hopfully I can provide some usefull info one of these days, its been a while but i'm sure i'll be able to pick it back up where I left off, especially with a resource such as shroomery.

No hurt to try them, I'll bet with proper water saturation they will be good to go, maybe lower yield I assume, maybe not.

You could soak them in enriched water, to try to restore some of the nutrients that have degraded.

Just guessing here, my foaf's RBs are fresh!
