Putting aside any moral discussion, notice that almost every shamanic society has been dominated or obliterated by more technological societies. I find this to be strong real-world evidence as to the lack of power in the shamanic state that many claim access to.

Like I have always stated, it is all imagination; there is no substance. Why don't the ancestor spirits protect these tribes? Where are those precognitive / clairvoyant powers at work? Where are the spells and black magic?

*Yawn*. Those alleged powers just don't exist. Argue away, but the proof is in the history books.

To what Shamanic societies are you reffering?
I would think that a Shamanic society is not interested in war, or the domination of other societies, so they do not spend time developing weapons.

So, if I explode a nuclear bomb over Washington DC... it is their own stupid fault for being so unprepared?

hahaha...

Maybe the shamans didn't care too much about what happened to their particular monkey tribe... For an ancient bemushroomed shaman, it probably didn't matter much. All things change.

Has anybody here seen the movie "Christmas Ape" starring Joe Pesci, Vladimir Hladik and CeCe Peniston and directed by Christoph C. Columbo? There was also a sequel - "Christmas Ape 2: Christmas Ape In New York" ... anybody?
