Growing bud up north

Hey guys I was thinking, about how hard it would be to grow pot up north in Southeast Idaho? It gets really cold in winter and usually the first snow hits in mid October, and it's all melted by April. Does anyone know of a good strain that could grow fast enough and still be a pretty good smoke? I'm looking for people that have experience in this sort of climate to post, so help would be appreciated

first snow in southeast idaho was a week and a half ago. and the first snow in southeast idaho has been on october 31st (halloween) for the past 4 years in a row.. lol. but anyways, there isnt much outdoor growing in that area, there is a lot of people growing indoors though. No i do not live in idaho, and you know that if you still remember.
anyways if you want a fast strain there is always lowryder. I dont think type really matters, if you plant it after last frost it will finish before first frost.

Go with a faster flowering indica and you should be able to harvest by mid Sept.

u could always start your babies indoors and move them out when the weather permits, get a little bit of a head start on the short growing season where u live
i know that possibility depends on your living situation...

I can start them from seed indoors until they are about 6inches. But for now I'm scouting a good place to grow, so much forest! Too many hunters to stumble on my grow
