Its FINALY raining

Now i know that rain is not required for shrooms to pop up.. buy we have been in a drought here in Maryland all summer (-9+ inches) so i hoping that the moisture helps..
I'm going on my first hunt in in a few days so i think that the rain is a good omen.
I'm hoping to find some in the grass (Panaeolus subbalteatus) like the FAQs says (no pastures near me)
I have read the FAQs, and i am not asking specifics, but I'm still not sure as to exactly what types of fields/woods I'm looking for.. the FAQ is not that specific so any expert pointers as to the type of geography would be nice.

Rain's a pretty big factor. The week after a good rain would be a good time.

if you're looking for Panaeolus subbalteatus, they only woods or fields you'll be looking in will be called things like 'woodland court' or municipal soccer field.
if you'd re read the faq, you'll see that the habitat you want for subs if you can't find stables, pastures, ect. is new and/or well manured lawns, sod, etc.

This thread has been closed.
Reason: Sorry Slimz, but your answers about finding shrooms in your area are all here already. Start by using the Search function and you will find more info to read than you'll know what to do with. Also, read the Hunting Forum Rules, no current weather condition discussions are allowed here. Good luck on your search.
