any more albums by Impress by any chance?

You mean Irepress? We have similar tastes, they're among my favorite mentioned so far.
Lots of killer 5/4  7/4, they're like a heavier, more modern, and instrumental King Crimson.

Love all the instrumental stuff, great soundtracks for The Cosmic Trigger series I'm reading.

i think beware of safety is close in sound to Irepress, and gift from enola, which im gonna put up tomorrow, is also close in sound, not quite as 'dark' tho. windmills by the ocean has a similar sound as well, ...but Irepress is in its own ballpark when it comes to sound..i think about it more and try to put somethings up that might be similar..red sparrowes as kinda the same vibe..

so, for fans of Irepress, download these:
Beware of Safety
Gifts From enola
windmills by the ocean
red sparrowes
north
caspian

those arent EXACT replicas of Irepress, but who would want that any ways, but they are similar in that they are all instrumental, and all explore the light and dark sounds of music.

i uploaded on this post one song from North's latest album, Ruins, to give an example of hte light/dark sounds im speaking of.

enter the dronezone....
Here is Earth's 2005 release Hex (Or Printing in the Infernal Method) )

Earth is more ambient-like than a lot of the driving / powerful stuff we've been hearing. This album is more mellow (less distorted) than a lot of their releases (but it still has its moments that make you want to unleash some headbangs that could stop time.) as far as i can tell this album is devoid of vocals. check wikipedia link for more.

Whoops, didn't mean to put the delete link for Godspeed. Thanks for fixing that.

Here are today's 3 albums:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/hzirkm
Farmakon - A Warm Glimpse
Someone had described FARMAKON as "OPETH in a head on collision with MR BUNGLE" but since I don't know anything about MR BUNGLE I can't really attest to that statement. Instead, I'd describe FARMAKON as a fusion of OPETH, Thrash, Funk and lounge-Jazz. Sounds impossible? Sounds like a mishmash? Not at all, for FARMAKON has succeeded in the seemingly impossible with their debut full-length. And the fact that this is their debut only makes this that much more incredible. So wipe that look of disbelief from your face and read on.

Whoa! I'm not even sure where to begin here! This is certainly unique and probably will be a turn-off for the most extreme Death Metal fans with it's odd mixture of elements, but it'd be a grave injustice if fans of Progressive Death Metal were to pass this by. Ok, I guess you want some kind of a proof of that. But first I'd just want to say that I'm not that experienced as to be able to fully explain this music so bear with me on this one. Alright, here we go…

The base of "Loosely On Amoebas" is Swedish Death/Thrash in the vein of THE HAUNTED or THE CROWN but to make it more interesting there are some OPETH like passages with beautiful riffs and clean vocals and at times the song breaks down to some funky lounge-Jazz jamming. "Mist" then shows a bit more of the OPETH side of FARMAKON. Already the first notes bring "Morningrise"-era OPETH to my mind but still FARMAKON maintains a sound wholly their own. And more of the OPETH kind is shown on the next track but whereas "Mist" took on "Morningrise", "Stretching Into Me" is taking on "Still Life" and especially it's more mellow parts. But wait, there's more! The last couple of minutes of the track are made up of a kind of Funk with a touch of Latin American rhythms. I know, I nearly cried at that moment too…

So you can basically expect the unexpected here. One minute it's a furious Death/Thrash attack and the other it's like OPETH and the next thing you know is that it's moody jamming as could be found in some smoky little pub…and the next minute it's something else again…

FARMAKON carefully navigates their ship keeping clear of such hazards as overdoing it or making it sound too difficult to approach. Everything is fitted together with care to deliver the best possible outcome and despite the progressive nature of the music it is still easy to approach and even get into, yet hard to fully comprehend. But hey, I'm only my sixth or so listen in so I've still got a lot more to go!

And to keep the OPETH similarities going the singer sounds just like Mikael Åkerfeldt at times. Not only can he growl like the great Mikael but he also has a great clean voice and can also vary those two vocal types all the way from Hardcore to almost Black Metal screams. The rest of the quartet should be merited as well for being able to go from fast and crunchy Death/Thrash to lounge-Jazz, Funk and whatnot in between like any pro of said genres without ever losing control. And that is something not many can muster.

Quirky and odd at times, but never out of control. A bit like EPHEL DUATH, just heavier. "A Warm Glimpse" is an extremely mature offering from such a young band and should appeal to any open-minded fan of Death Metal. Any fan of Progressive Death Metal and OPETH should be on the lookout as well!

Between The Buried And Me - Colors
Thanks to a recent influx of talented competitors the spastic progressive tech metal terrain Between The Buried And Me used to freely enjoy began to suffer from a loss of habitat. It wasn't that these North Carolina natives' chops had lessened though, but faced with fierce one-upmanship and a seemingly limited set of resources, this musical spectrum was definitely prime for some population control.

"Colors", their latest release is more a parting shot to their imitators than anything else. For to get ahead of their peers, Between The Buried And Me have astutely studied the works of the past and heavily incorporated them into this stunning release. While the basis of the bands spastic metal forged upon highly agile musicianship is still the main proponent of this release, the bands exterior influences are no longer mere interludes or dalliances.

No, this time around the group will freely break loose from a pummeling predatory thrash/death metal groove and emerge into some Kansas-like southern rock stomp or bow gracefully at the feed of the likes of Queen, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd and King Crimson. The trick to making these seemingly disparate nods turn into something that functions properly throughout comes from the bands overall modern approach. They don't try to directly imitate and rather emulate the attitude, allowing them to convincingly graft a number of styles into their underlying metallic prowess.

As varied and expansive as this disc is though, there's still a soul to it. A rare feat in this day and age when the influences thrown against a wall usually resemble the blood splatters at a gruesome crime scene rather than some kind of art. But some kind of art is exactly what "Colors" is. A broad spectrum of musical talent, played by some incredibly proficient musicians who relentlessly endeavor to provoke the listener while pushing their own limits.

In a genre often bent only upon intensity, Between The Buried And Me have managed to add in the depth and variety necessary to keep the audience coming back long after the adrenaline has worn off. In turn, they have made a new milestone many of their followers will simply be unable to reach. Long-winded and indulgent at times? Sure, and it may not be something you can listen to everyday. But with an end result this epic, who gives a shit. It may not be a new revolution, but it's still the best this corner of metal has come up with in years.

Kayo Dot - Choirs Of The Eye
The year 2003 saw avantgarde metal band Maudlin of the Well change its name to the equally esoteric Kayo Dot, join the roster of John Zorn’s Tzadik record label (thereby somewhat acrimoniously terminating their tenure with Dark Symphonies), and release an album that is far and beyond better than anything released under their previous moniker.

Choirs of the Eye was released as part of Tzadik’s Composer series of albums, which is to say that a large part of the albums in question were composed via classical theory. The normally restrictive confines of classical composition (yes, I am a notoriously lazy musician) do not really come into play as the music itself leaves a lot of room in which the members can improvise and noodle around on their respective instruments. Whereas Maudlin of the Well’s more experimental (read: weird) moments were occasionally forced in approach, Kayo Dot tends to go about things in a much more organic and moody way. It seems as if the band’s intent was to create and obtain a mood without so much weirding their listeners out, and while it does have its revved up, doomed out, and intense moments (witness the utterly awesome, almost Weakling-inspired black metal cacophony that comes about at around the 10:30 mark of “The Manifold Curiosity”), Choirs of the Eye is mostly a pensive and moving affair that has more in common with the releases of Talk Talk, Cerberus Shoal (with whom the band has recently toured), and The Dirty Three than with any that of any metal band I can think of offhand.

To close, I will say this: I wish that Dark Symphones did not take Kayo Dot’s departure so personally, as they are now witholding the release of MotW’s back-catalogue, thereby robbing fans of some truly great music. Let us hope that they shape up before the albums are forgotten entirely. In the meantime, we can rejoice in the release of this album and, hopefully, many albums to come.

I do have some Subarachnoid Space. I will upload some once I'm done uploading everything else. Patience

2 more here for you guys:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/i4ah0g
ISOR - Post Mortem Peep Show
Another extreme noise band, which made its way through the Underground and which crowns the hard work of the past years with the release of the “Official” debut. It’s official because this splendid band finally found a capable record label with Copro Records, which should lead to a greater fame due to a better distribution. And believe me, their fame will grow as ISOR deliver an insane intensity on “Post Mortem Peep Show”.

Hundreds of crazy rhythm changes, mad outbursts of fury on both sides, musically and vocally and they have such great songwriting abilities that the common Metalhead will probably have its problems with ISOR. There is no average concept but they weave between diversified noise attacks. Whether angry Hardcore, bone-crushing Death Metal or progressive Thrash Metal, ISOR infuse all these ingredients into their own visions of a sound and they create a pretty hard and completely unique thing. Between that are again and again short but weird acoustic passages, which instantly won’t fit in but after some spins, they find their places in the overall sound and they serve for even more diversity and variety in their sound.

The elite with SIKTH, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, JOHNNY TRUANT, THE END or MEDULLA NOCTE has a new member but with a big difference. Because in contrary to mentioned bands, ISOR have not a several members line-up but consist only of two members. Dave Merricks (guitars and vocals) and Nick Hemingway (drums and backing vocals) make out the whole thing. But the insane ideas of “Post Mortem Peep Show” come out from these two guys and they had only some help in the studio. But also there, they did a good job and enlisted Dave Chang (MIOCENE, STAMPIN’ GROUND, LANDMINE SPRING and many more), who is a secret tip due to his great work and he ennobled a lot gems in the Philia Studios.

Already the first notes prove, that they have chosen the right one as it initially crushes and it’s hard to imagine a more pressuring and crushing sound. Furthermore, they have some strange lyrics and song titles, so it’s also not predictable in this area. “Post Mortem Peep Show” is not an album with single check out tips, it must be listened as a whole. Due to the multitude technical highlights, you have the duty to give it some time and to regard it as an overall work of art. This is how an ultra brutal bastard of the most extreme styles has to sound to and when a band thrashes through all these styles with such a self confidence, it deserves much praise. ISOR fight against all boring music and that’s really really great.

Flat Earth Society - Isms
Listening to Flat Earth Society is like hearing Carl Stalling score a film adaptation of a James Ellroy novel. One listen to "De Vrachtwagen 1", the opening track from the new Flat Earth Society compilation ISMS, is all you need in order to get a good idea of just how insane, yet compelling this music can be. Starting off with a foreboding, sustained double bass note and an eerily playful, undulating melody by either a synth or a melodica, you can picture an opening title sequence of a 1940s film noir, stark white titles superimposed over a dark, murky street. Trumpets erupt in a swanky fanfare, but the classy feeling is negated immediately by whimsical clarinets and crazed snare drum syncopation, as if mimicking the footsteps of a cartoon character who has happened to sneak onscreen. Murky yet effervescent, sinister yet whimsical, this is the one big band record that's made for anyone who thinks they don't want to own a big band record.

And what more perfect home for an outfit as strange as Flat Earth Society, than Ipecac Records? Mike Patton's brilliant little record label already has its own resident jazz fusion outfits in Trevor Dunn's Trio Convulsant and the dastardly demonic Fantomas, so why not a little bit of old-fashioned big band, tweaked just enough to scare the pants of stodgy traditionalists? Formed by bandleader/primary composer/clarinetist Peter Vermeersch in 1998, and over the course of four very well-received albums, the Bruges, Belgium outfit has earned the reputation of being one of the most experimental, yet accessible avant-garde jazz ensembles in Europe. It's one thing to try to take the classic sound of big band into an altogether new direction, incorporating the influences of more latter-day artists, including Sun Ra, Frank Zappa, and The Residents, but to take such a sound, and present it all in a very fun, strangely warm, and weirdly beguiling package that's able to simultaneously command the attention of discerning jazz aficionados, indie rock geeks in search of something their blogging friends haven't heard of, and children with strong senses of humor, is another thing entirely.

Until now, each of Flat Earth Society's albums had been available in Europe only, as any curious North American listeners were forced to shell out the cash for overpriced import copies, but thanks the always ingenuous Mr. Patton, who took the time to lovingly assemble what he felt would be the definitive introduction to the band's work, music fans on this side of the Atlantic can now find out for themselves just why these Flemish musicians are so fascinating. Culled from those four albums, ISMS is a 19-track, hour-long piece of inspired musical lunacy.

Fans of the crime thriller genre will get an absolute kick out of "O.P.E.N.E.R.", which achieves a scintillating balance between darkly dramatic and kitschy, peaking with an inspired solo section, before coming to an intense, cacophonous conclusion. "Pune" is just as crazed, but wildly different, with its traditional Oriental tones sounding as if performed in the cantina scene from Star Wars, and if that weren't weird enough, a kazoo solo and surf guitar included for good measure. Two brilliant tracks from the 2003 album The Armstrong Mutations are loving, but highly demented tributes to Louis Armstrong and New Orleans jazz; the raucous "(Little) King Ink" combines early jazz and primal rhythms, meshing an obscure Armstrong composition with Nick Cave's classic 1981 Birthday Party composition, "King Ink", Tim Wouters' impassioned lead vocals matching Cave's vocal theatrics. Meanwhile, "Funeral & Binche" is an excellent evocation of the classic New Orleans funeral dirge, but then, midway through, erupts into a ridiculously incongruous, John Philip Sousa-style march, as free-form trumpet solos whirl around the rigid melody. It's fantastic.

Patton deserves a lot of credit here, as he's been able to bring this bizarre, yet ingenious band to listeners who otherwise would not have looked for it in the first place. It's just the kind of freakazoid jazz that not only any fan of Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, or Bohren & der Club of Gore would enjoy, but most importantly, it's guaranteed to thrill anyone looking for instrumental music that's way, way, way left of the mainstream.

Here's another one

http://www.sendspace.com/file/dcqn8n
SubArachnoid Space - A New And Exact Map
There are five tracks on the album, two of them being extended space excursions. "Indy Maru" is my favorite track and the one with Ferguson joining on vox organ. The 15 minute tune opens with eerie organ, various bells and blocks, and subtle but effective sounds and atmospherics from the guitars. The mood is dark but there's also a bit of a Middle Eastern psych feel. Organ fits SubArachnoid Space's music well and is an outstanding instrument in general for psychedelia. As the music slowly evolves the guitars begin their whale song wailing. Proper studio recordings from this band come across as a potent force with each musician and each sound commanding its own place in the sonic whole. Some of the guitar parts reminded me of Djam Karet. And this track also reminded me of Spacious Mind's "The Mind Of A Brother" album for the high powered and totally spaced out combination of guitars and keyboards. Some of the guitars are really searing. It's amazing how much cosmic intensity can be wrung from just a few notes. The other long track is the 18 minute "Melted", which is similar to "Indy Maru" but without the organ. Just a cool extended guitar dominated psychedelic journey through the cosmos that is just as soothing as it is brain blistering.

"Prism" and "Fruity Drinks With Little Umbrellas" are a bit different having more rock structure and rhythm than typically heard from SubArachnoid Space. Andy Stephens' bass is partly responsible as it helps set a steady and confident pace. The guitars are still the heart of the band's music but the more prominent keyboards and synths really flesh out the music and send it in more varied and exciting directions. "Fruity Drinks With Little Umbrellas" is totally unlike anything I've heard from SubArachnoid Space yet. It starts as a spacey rockin' Dub tune, but quickly launches into an Ozric Tentacles styled jam. A heavy driving spacerocker! Finally, "Drink Me" is the one live performance on the album, taken from a show in Las Vegas and is classic SubArachnoid Space. Very trance trippy and embellished by space synths.

In summary, A New And Exact Map is an impressive step forward for SubArachnoid Space and as the year winds down I can tell this will easily make my top ten for 2000 list.

Blut Aus Nord - 2005 - Thematic Emanation Of Archetypal Multiplicity
My mind fades into the image of a lonely child singing inside a church; a small boy, only a silhouette. His song echoes from wall to wall, vibrating towards the uncovered arch of a single window where there surges a brilliant light from outside the magnificent confines of the sanctuary. Suddenly, his song ends, vanishing with the light, and the window is empty. It's as if a pall was thrown upon the entire sky.

My particular vision aside, it takes less than fifty seconds to know how remarkably adept this band is in altering their temperament in such immaculate and simple delivery. Like most experimental forays, _Thematic Emanation of Archetypal Multiplicity_ gives a glimpse of the band's capability outside of usual conceptions, but doesn't particularly signal any one direction for the future.

This release consists of five instrumental tracks that were intended for a split with The Axis of Perdition, which never materialized. Composed largely of guitar and synthesizer, these songs remain mostly in mid-tempo, retaining the cavernous distortion and contorted six string technique of previous work. However, the interesting tremolo bending of guitar chords, which gave their last two albums such punctuation, is absent here; it is replaced by ambient, multi-effects passages and faintly Godflesh-esque machine doom. No blast beats and no vocals, only some brief spoken word and unintelligent meditations, as is the case with songs "Level 1" and “Level 3". Accentuating their music with a religious tone appears faddish, but their use of eastern (mock eastern?) prayers in place of actual vocals is very effective and, I suppose, in keeping with the band's vague mysticism and visual aesthetic.

There is one annoying snag in the transition, and that is the third track, "Level 2", composed of looped drum beats with an up tempo, hip bass line repeating for seven minutes. Decent, but a throwaway piece that is in no way distinguished by itself. A bland shock -- like celebrity sex videos -- it's only interesting if you're familiar with who is doing it, then it passes. Here Blut Aus Nord seem too impressed by themselves.

_The Work Which Transforms God_ put Blut Aus Nord on the path toward ridding the collective rules of black metal. With this release, they've nearly left the metal domain altogether -- a logical but larger step. While more concentration on expanding the electronic portion of their sound seemed obvious afterwards, it has come with modifying a large portion of what also made their former album so intriguing, testing the following they have gained, but more importantly their own limitations; for this sounds like less of an attempt to transform years of musical direction than it does to free oneself of the prison that genre can become.

Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. - 1999 - Pataphisical Freak Out MU!!
But on to the album review for real. I've picked Pataphisical Freak Out MU because it features the fewest irritants of any Acid Mothers Temple LP I know,4 and because I played the CD over & over on this past Autumn tour, for myself and for anyone else who would listen.

The album opens with the Faust Tapes-meets-Cosmic Jokers spoken word of "Cosmic Audrey", their friend Audrey Ginester cast in the role of Gille Letmann, here speaking in echoed French over drones and monosynths, pre-preparing us for the weirdness to come. Then huge demented feedback guitar propels us headlong into the wild blazing, chordless free-form rock of "Acid Takion". Here, the group is the power trio from soundcheck hell, as the ARP tone generator kicks the wa-everything of the guitar, bass and drums into greater and greater sonic speedballs, finally breaking off in a club-footed stop-go of calamitous sludge.

"White Summer of Love" follows as a beautiful echoed breeze, as though Tim Buckley's Lorca is being played by both Amon Duul 1 and 2 simultaneously. Distant female wa-vocals and twitterings, resembling Dr. Fiorella Terenzi's Music from the Galaxies, permeate an arpeggio'd belltone electric guitar, until it cuts directly into Kawabata's restrained but motorik "Third Eye of the Whole World", which brings forth still more Faust Tapes-like meditative groove.

"Golden Bat Blues Dedd" is a scrappy pedestrian open-cymballed blues dirge played in the Adams Family crypt by Lurch and Herman Munster. It's the Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band LP distilled and unashamed, as though Ringo Starr and Klaus Voorman had had 30 years in which to re-train their minds for Yoko's impossible banshee assault rather than being thrown defenceless headlong into her piranha tank armed only with a knowledge of cod. It's shameless and spastically beautiful, and it segues straight into the arcane Pictish Cajun bagpipe drone of "Mr. Hardy Guidey Man", here credited as being traditional. Oh sure, it sounds traditional - about as much as the similarly bagpipe-led "Caledonia" does on Cro-Magnon's 1969 freakout LP Orgasm.

"Magic Aum LSD" is one minute of spoken cosmic word from the Acid Mothers' self-styled "erotic underground" member Magic Aum Gigi, then we're off into the greatest track ever recorded by Acid Mothers Temple. This incredible dislocated slow thrash known as "Astrological Overdrive" is fuelled and driven by a thrashing and chromatic descending chord sequence over which the three female vocalists bill and coo and hum and hah something about "my daddy", while bubbling Rick Danko bass and furiously soloing drums giddy up the mix. Its thrashing, ringing deep-bowled jazz electric is beautiful, oh it's so beautiful - like Al Archer from Dexy's meets Pete Towsnhend in an emotional string-shred-o-thon; like a Spanish galleon top heavy with dubloons spinning around the edge of an Atlantic-sized whirlpool, threatening to teeter over and sink at any moment.

Then we're off into the three-part psychedelic speed wa-metal of "Right About Rainbow I/You're my Only Super Sunshine/Right About Rainbow II". Aren't the titles of these tracks from the netherland of the cosmos? There's something about the Japanese take on English which pitches even the most obvious names into a translated Mid-Atlantic trench of semi-understanding. Of which the same can be said about the warped Norman Collier stun-guitar of "You're my Only Super Sunshine". Crackling incoherence on a busted mike your music teacher keeps insisting you return to the school - but you ain't got the nerve to tell him you trashed the fucker weeks ago.

And so to the final song of the album, "Blue Velvet Blues". Slow slow slow, it's an achey breakey heart-attack of congealed "Signed DC"; a one chord minor key maelstrom. But it's the Out Here version as opposed to the one on the first Love album. And you know how Gary Rowles' 11-minute super-eloquent burn-up on "Love is More Than Words (Better Late Than Never)"5 forewarned us of 1970s metal-to-come? Well, imagine that he'd appeared throughout that whole album, rather than just on the one track, and imagine that Arthur Lee had given him the same free rein throughout, and you're getting close to imagining this final track. One chord, 25-and-a-half minutes, Nuff Said.

Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno - 2005 - Anthem of the Space
On this, the tenth anniversary for the overly active Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O; Kawabata Makoto announces a new supergroup: Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno! Featuring members of Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., Boredoms, Zeni Geva, Ghost, White Heaven, Gong, Subvert Blaze, & High Rise. "And, it's a good one, for those who dig the long-form AMT stuff like La Novia. We think they're serious about this Anthem of THE Space stuff. Like, there's a contest to make the music that will be playing far out in space for all time, if you could only hear it. This is a seriously spaced-out AMT effort indeed. A cosmic march into the furthest reaches of where no man (or hippy) has gone before. Except Amon Duul II. 'Cause the main part of this disc, the 44 minute title track, has very much of an Amon Duul II's Yeti vibe going on! Stoner paradise. Very krautrock. A heavy, mantric riff repeating over and over a loooong time. Super hypnotic. We like! That's followed by the ten minute "Poppy Rock", a track that's more like a spacey hoedown. Kinda jig-like.Yet again, a winner from the AMT camp."-Aquarius. Featuring: Tabata Mitsuru (Zeni Geva, ex.Boredoms), Higashi Hiroshi (AMT & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.), Shimura Koji (ex.High Rise, ex.White Heaven), Okano Futoshi (ex.Subvert Blaze, ex.Ghost), Kawabata Makoto (Gong, AMT & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.)!!!

Boris - Pink
Rock music (and metal music by extension) is in love with itself. As such, it finds it very difficult to step out of the narrow boundaries that it defines itself with. Whereas you'd see, for example, a techno band covering, say METALLICA, you'd never a metal band cover, say ORBITAL ("Satan" doesn't count). Though there are exceptions... And one of them is BORIS.

The experimental Japanese monsters are back. Having been around for about 10 years, BORIS have regularly switched musical genres between albums, from drone, to psychedelic rock, to noise. Having collaborated with people like MERZBOW, MASONNA and Keinji Haino (and also working on a project with the people we love to hate, SUNN0))) ) (<- the last two parentheses are not part of the name), BORIS start 2006 with "Pink", on Southern Lord.

"Pink" is an album to behold. An album that can switch from EARTH-like atmospheres, to grungy outbreaks in the blink of an eye. The opening track (which I cannot actually type, as it is in Kanji) drones out into your ears through to your brain. The track is beautiful. Unlike a lot of drone music, there's no hint of menace in the music here. The track is serene and relaxing, rendering the listener defenceless for the assault that's about to ensue.

"Boris" is a fundamentally metal album, with outbursts of psychedelic crazyness, punk and grunge attitude, and doom despair. "(blackout)" would not be out of place as one of the more spaced out CELTIC FROST songs. "Electric" and "Painted With" could be in MONSTER MAGNET's seminal "Spine of God". "(it's no different, regardless)" could have been in NIRVANA's "Bleach". And then there's "(when we're gone)", the 10 minute sludge/stoner epic, that reeks of power metal (!) and post-rock (!!) influences.

"Pink" is awfully produced - on purpose. The music bleeds out and surrounds you, with noisy (but very discernable) riffs, echoed vocals, heavy bass and pounding drums, the production adds to the abstract atmosphere of the music contained within.

I mean, BORIS operate a label called "Fangs Anal Satan". What can you say about a band like that? Lovers of the avant garde, droned out metallers and lovers of the alternative, you should really check the latest album of this crazy trio out.
