pc'n with an electric stove
    #7501138 - 10/09/07 10:36 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

so i have an electric stove and cant really adjust the heat as easy as a gas stove its only 1-5.

if i keep it on 5 the rattler always moves but i dont know how high it is and i dont want the pressure to get to high or the weight to come off. but when i keep it at 4 it rattles for a minute or so and then quites for a minute or so and starts rattling again and so on

so what do u think is safer? keep it at 5 with the constant rattle or at 4 with it rattling on and off?

thanks guys

my PC rattled constantly. I think you would be able to tell if the weight was about to rocket off , versus just a healthy little knock. I will say though that the rattling, or lack of it, isn't as important as what the pressure reads on your PC, just go by that.

That means you need to turn it down farther. Try 3.5 and see how that does. If it rattles more than once or twice a minute, turn down the heat.
