I guess I'm right brained. So is the left vs. right brain thing legitimate? Seems kind of sketchy to me

I just took an online test and it said I'm "balanced brained" which means a balance of both left and right. But I think based on the descriptions given on the site above I'd be a right brain because I've always been a dreamer and an artist.

Yes, they have done a lot of experimenting with people that have had brain damage to show the differences. People that have a severed corpus callosum (the thing that connects the two sides of the brain) can identify an objects purpose when looking with one eye closed, but cannot tell the name of the object. If they reverse which eye is open and closed, they can name the object, but cannot tell what the object is used for.

I took a long time before I could see her going counterclockwise. Then it kept switching back to clockwise.

Mainly clockwise, though it did change on occasion.

The original poster added some of his own suggestion before letting you see the image. He/she said something to the effect of, "right brains will see this clockwise"..before even seeing the image I believe he had decided for me and possibly the majority of us, how we would initially perceive the rotation. I did see it clockwise and it left me to question, "had I not read his statement, what would have been?" Though eventually I figured out how to change the direction from clock to counter-wise. What about the idea that from 12:00 on a clock the hand will turn in a "right--->" direction, does this predetermine us as right brainers?
