OK I read through all 3 of the outdoor teks available here I dont like the building of a box with plywood as it would be obvious that someone is doing somthing in the woods.
and the NEW GUY tek made no sense
so Im guessing Ill try MOE's I have a shady wooded remote area picked out now my 6 BRF B+ cakes will be fully colonised in about a week the temps here are around 66-70 at night and bewtween 85-90 durin the day --humidity is unknown
I do have a couple quick questions tho
1. what do you do if you have low humidity?
2. Whats with the crumbling of one cake then straw then whole cakes? is this just like making ONE big casing or something?
3. obviously no dunking or rolling or any of that is neccesary
all in all its a pretty good TEk just a few details I want to be sure on for when I proceed

Lots of new growers do something once and then write a 'tek'. I'm not sure if that's the case here, but instead of searching for 'tek', try searching for outdoor grow. I've posted many times good techniques for outdoor grows, which basically means to mix your spawn into a pile of manure. No boxes, etc., are needed, and certainly no straw. RR

You will have to keep in mind getting water to it if no rain is predicted in your area.

To minimize moisture loss ......
Dig a little trench ..... fill the trench with your spawn (crumbled BRF cakes) and substrate (HorsePoo would be great)
..... cover the little trench lightly with mulch, leaves, whatever ... this will help in moisture retention and 'stealth'
Water it ...... water it a lot ..... simulate 3 days of rain ....
Good luck

Just thought of something else ......
For moisture retention: You could mix perlite or vermiculite in with your bulk substrate .... this combined with being in a little trench (where your growing substrate isn't evaporating in every direction) should help you.
It's not rocket surgery .... uhhhh .... brain science ..... uhhhh
Have fun, good luck.
