ok so i just finished simmering my ry berries and i tossed the grain untill there was no more steam coming off the top. the problem is it still seems too wet. the outside is very moist. i did RR's test on toilet paper and it doesnt leave a wet spot but is there any way i can quickly dry my grain a little more?

Spread it out on some card board and let it air dry. Be careful not to dry it to much.

If you simmered and it's retaining a bit of water that's good. It'll dry out a tad bit in your Pressure Cooker. My personal test for Rye's moisture content is load some of the soaked and simmered Rye Berries into one of your jars and let it sit for about 20 minutes. If visible liquid collects in the bottom of your jars, then your Rye is too wet. If no visible liquid collects in the bottom of your jars after soaking and simmering, then you're good to go!

Yea, I thought mine were too dry after I pressure cooked them but they turned out perfect. The first time they were WAAAAAAAAY too wet after PCing. I wouldnt worry about wetness as long as you rinsed the grain really good and let it dry in a colander for 30 mins.

They also look darker but thats normal, the heat just toasted them a little.
