Brain Test (right versus left)

The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses logic detail oriented facts rule words and language present and past math and science can comprehend knowing acknowledges order/pattern perception knows object name reality based forms strategies practical safe
RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses feeling "big picture" oriented imagination rules symbols and images present and future philosophy & religion can "get it" (i.e. meaning) believes appreciates spatial perception knows object function fantasy based presents possibilities impetuous risk taking

She turns clockwise for me every time i initially look. But by focusing on the shadow of the foot, it's very easy to switch the direction.

It took me a few minutes of staring before I could see it turn any direction other than counter clockwise. Now it seems to randomly alternate between that and clockwise motion.

i am convinced this is fake. it just switches randomly. i crossed my eyes and stared at it. and i could see the exact moments when it turned, it just switched to a different animation going the other direction, however smooth it was.
i call shenanigans.

It's looped..that's why you see it jump slightly.
But it's just an optical illusion. It's an animated gif, you could open it in JASC animation shop and see every single frame in the gif if you wanted.

oh freaky ass shit. but i dont want to ruin it all for you, can switch it by looking at the shadow of the foot... because it never turns all the way around. the shadow only goes left and right, do you see it?
but funny thing is i saw it clockwise 1st and then counter 2nd, but it moved slower for counter.
... wait.. i'm not sure anymore.. maybe in a more sober state. cool test!

FUCK....it can appear both ways.
it took me getting high to see it going anti-clockwise.
i would think pot smoking makes you more right brained. reading the personality traits of the two did make me lean more to the left (i was only seeing clockwise when sober)....but i also had several right brain aspects.
edit: i had to focus on the bottom of her foot...not the shadow of her foot.

if you haven't figured out how to voluntarily switch directions, just "feel" whichever part of the brain you want
if you've done any energy work you should be able to get it pretty quickly
if not, perhaps "feeling" your brain is a bit too abstract... start with your hand. simply flex your hand a little bit and try to hold onto the feeling of being aware of it after it has stopped moving. blood will rush into it and it will turn red or mottled, feel warm and sort of "full"
then just try and duplicate that with whatever half of your brain you're looking to activate. (no "look at this point" eye tricks are necessary)

it starts out clockwise for me, if i try real hard i can get it to switch. but then, after the switch, i cannot get her to switch back. no matter how long i stare at it, or where i stare... the switch back to clockwise only occurs if i leave the image for some time and come back to it.

It is a fake. When she switches direction look at which leg is leading the dance... clockwise her right leg leads, and vice versa.

so what is your point? how does that make it fake? the one leg would lead in either direction.
edit:
after seeing it anit-cw...i couldn't "get" it back to cw....and i was about to post saying how i probably was seeing it anti the whole time and got it confused...and then it switched back to clockwise at the exact time i thought i had seen it only one way the whole time.

rofl, this thing got me into an argument with my girlfriend.
First, I'm seeing it clockwise and she's seeing it counter, and won't believe that it's going clockwise for me. Then, when I show her the rotation with my finger, she starts seeing it clockwise and argues with me that the image changed.
I can't seem to convince her that it's not the image changing, but rather her.

thanks ravinoff. i was pissed i couldn't get it to switch at will till you suggested trying to feel which side of the brain i was using. i was going about it the wrong way.
does this mean that we can choose which half of our brains we want to dominate?
i think it probably more has something to do with which eye we're favoring would be my guess...

Oh man that really fucks with my head. Apparently I'm right brained but the left brained functions describe the kind of stuff that I'm "into" better.
Personally, I don't think they know enough about the brain for all this left brain right brain nonsense yet.

Alright.
A technique that seems to be working for me.
Get your forefinger, and put it in the middle between you and your computer screen,(so your pointing in the air) so when you look at the image your finger is in front of it but you can still see it. And heres the main part. Rotate ONLY your finger in a circle(not your hand), if you go anticlockwise, she goes anticlockwise, and vice versa.
Test it and get back to me

Got it to rotate in both ways about in minute. It's not the first time I see it though. It was posted in Science forum few months ago. So I kinda knew how it works. After some one mentioned it being fake I opened it in imageready and can say it's real thing for sure. 34 frames indeed like someone already stated.

I can see them both. Almost as if it's turning one way, then instantly turns another....or I'm just focusing too hard and it just looks like it switches direction.

This image is firmly clock-wise for me. I can't conceive of how it would be any other way. I tried staring at the shadow for minutes, slapping myself, turning my finger in the air...
If I didn't know better I'd bet my life on the fact that she is objectively spinning clock-wise. The fact that it can be seen any other way is astounding to me. Craziness.
As for the brain stuff, I am a musician who is terrible at math. So yea I guess I'm thoroughly right brained.
Astonishing stuff.

God, all I could see was her turning clockwise for the longest time, now I can see her turning counterclockwise and not clockwise. Either way I think it's bogus, I use functions from each side of the brain off of the lists they have.

Anyone notice that when the dancer changes direction, she also seems to change the leg she is standing on? Is this, too, a trick of the mind? Or evidence that this is fake?

I have to concentrate for like 45 seconds on her feet to get it to go counter clockwise... when I look up at her she keeps spinning in that direction but the second I look down at her feet she reverses directions and heats clockwise.
Cool.

Hehe, that's fun and yes, she changes legs, because if we see her rotate the other way round, her frontside changes to her backside. Very interesting view into consciousness and what our brain is making up to interpret reality We can influence the pictures in our heads !

I think this is just fucking with us, I swear it changes. But it's hard to tell. I think the key to telling is staring at the foot that's in place. I'm pretty sure after a while it changes direction.

Yes, for me it works to change directions, if I look at the feet and the legs and imagine the clockwise or anticlockwise circulation upon them. Then shortly after, the picture slurps from down to up into the proper direction imposed by the imagination Fun and interesting stuff I can't just fully relate to the right-left brain relationship, but it could be, as our rational mind (left sphere) could tend to see rotations preferable done in a clockwise way; this would have to be tested.

edit: Haha, now I can make her upper and lower body turn independently, hehe, wtf

I can't change the direction at will. When i first started the page, it was like a 3 sec anticlockwise rotation then a clockwise rotation. Then after a bit it goes anti-clockwise then it stays clockwise for a long time.
Dunno about this....

I had a few friends over all the girls seen it going clockwise and the guys counter clockwise so maybe sex has something to do with the way you initially see it.
