Yellow Oyster Grow Log - Lots of Photos!

This is yet another Oyster Grow log. This is the first flush from a Yellow Oyster grow bag. The substrate is pure wheat straw that had been pasteurized. These guys like to grow in clusters of tonnes of mini yellow mushrooms. They look awesome. Enjoy the photos while I enjoy the fruits

(PHOTO 1)
This is a baby cluster where the white has slightly begun its colour change. Call me Captain Obvious

The above photo is my favourite out of this batch.

I will post more photos when I have the next flush!

I chose #2, but it was hard. The tight pin-cluster is pretty sweet too...congrats looks like a sweet grow. Where'd you get the culture? What are the fruiting temps you've got going on there? Thanks!

Try less holes in your bag, sometimes they get bigger.

Jeremy_Davis - The culture was obtained from Mushy Mart. Excellent customer service, cultures, and delivery. I have not yet recorded the fruiting temperatures they were introduced to. ATM I'm renovating the room.
Everyone who commented so far/voted - thanks for the compliments and advice
YidakiMan - below is a close up of the stem after harvest as requested.

Below is part of a stirfy I cooked up. I am no chef. Contents: Tofu, peppers, and yellow oyster mushroom. Tasted pretty good!

Below are some of the worlds hottest peppers. I used small flakes in the stirfry to spice it up! Red Savina is their name and 400,000 on the Scoville Scale is their game. They are ready to burn anyone daring enough to taste them.

That recipe sounds good. Apparently the tofu seemed potatoes in slice.
Don't know if you know this recipe but mushrooms are really tasty with potatoes, specially P.ostreatus..plus rosemary or a bit of cicely, and of course extra virgin olive oil, cooked in oven.

Well I tried the recipe, but I guess I messed up that part.
Everything used was organic ingredients thanks to Josh's Organic Garden Farmer's Market on Hollywood Beach (FL). Oh, and I got the maiitake @ Whole Foods
I took ; 2 large potatoes 100g maitake 150g shiitake handful of sun dried tomatoes fresh basil leaves fresh rosemary leaves 1/2 clove of garlic
I chopped the herbs and garlic cloves and mixed them in with a few TBSP of extra virgin olive oil, and let that sit for a while. Then I chopped everything else and mixed it into the herb/oil mixture. I then put it in a Pyrex baking dish and baked it at 400F for about 20-25 minutes. It may've been a bit long, because the sun dried tomatoes burned a little. But honestly, I like that flavor, so I was not disappointed.
Overall, I thought the dish really needed some spices when I tried it as it was made. I added a pinch of yellow curry powder, some fresh cracked peppercorns, and a bit of this Thai Pandang peanut sauce I had. Pretty good stuff once it had some additional flavors.
Fabio, can you comment on that? Do you think I should've done anything differently? I can try to get some anise spice, or even your ciceley (the Latin name helped a LOT - Thanks!!!!)
Anyway, I've still got enough left for tonight's dinner, so I know I'm gonna be eating good in about two hours. Light and Love, JD
