    #7497866 - 10/08/07 03:08 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Well after a lot of shroom hunts to this one perticular field i think things are really picking up.. found that they are straying into neighbouring fields. neighbouring NORTH facing fields.

free shroom to the person who guesses the total, i gave up counting and have no scales

well im like 30 miles east of the welsh border but these werent even found on especially high ground.

3 of my 4 fields are not bearing any libs this year yet.. they all seem sooo dry but this field is fruiting amazingly compared to last year, it seems so damp. mainly due to heavy dews and possible the previously cut grass holding in the moisture?

grass is indeeed annoying but its all strained out when making a brew so no harm done .

a quick question about drying.. they are currently in my drying chamber but its a bit small so they are piled about 1/2 inch think. do you think this will still be ok or should i think about drying them elsewhere?

for best results and least chance of rot, no caps should be laying against each other or atop one another. you should air dry them first anyway, and as uarewotueat said, on paper with a fan is good. when they are as dry as that will get them, they can be put into the dessicator as piled up as you'd like.
