    #7496674 - 10/08/07 08:49 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Have you guys seen this mad cosmawesome thing?

was flicking through my hard drive pics and stumbled upon it.. I remember reading an article about the "grandfather peyote" which was over 200 years old.

But apparently it was confiscated cos of legal purposes :crankey:

I´m sorry but a 200 yrs old lopho should be much larger than that.
I´ve got some with the same looks, they were mistreated.

What are you using for reference on the size of the cactus in the picture? I can't tell how large it is...plus, it looks like it is one of many buttons, cant really see the background well enough though

peace

Good point. For me a good indicator of size/age is the hair tufts on the areoles. They look too young.

i'm not saying that's the 200 year old one in that pic, i'm asking if anyone's heard of any news on the 200 year old confiscated peyote?
I would love to see what it looks like :/ aye!

that pic was included in the article a while back.
how cool is that button though? the pattern in it looks like some kind of weird alien creature.

Can't help you with the 200 year old peyote photo. But, it's probably an estimated age. You can find lots of pictures of very old peyote. Shape, more than size, as well as tuft size can indicate age well.

There's some 5700 year olds for ya though. (Still going strong, too).
