you say you want to be close to death, but then mention hobbies which are quite safe

try street luging down roads that aren't closed off(perhaps at night to minimize risk of cars)
freehand rock climbing

you can't fool yourself into thinking you're close to death

sure your senses may tell you you're falling at free-fall speed to the ground, but your mind knows you have a couple parachutes to save you

Your post saddens me a little. To think that I will never know how it feels to get close to death's door without actually dying bums me out. I mean, copious amounts of psychedelics have their place in teaching me about death, but...physically...I want to FEEL death. You're right, everything I mentioned is actually pretty safe. I'll probably still investigate rock climbing though.

The next time I trip on anything, I'm devoting the entire trip to pondering the nature of death. I guess that's the best I'm going to get aside from killing myself.

I don't know what the question is, but putting yourself in harm's way is not the answer.

Are you depressed? Are there blatant or ever so slight thoughts of suicide? Do you have a deathwish?

My sentiments exactly.

I was just remenising last night, that i haven't felt alive since i stopped being a juvenile delinquent.
Commiting felonies, and running for my life from the cops was good thrills.

I stopped doing that a long time ago, but i find myself drifting more towards deviant behavior lately.
Like stealing a few ciggerretes out of a security guards pack while he had his back turned. or walking into places i shouldn't be, Like secure areas.
taking drinks from food establishments...
Its all felt so right lately. I think i may become a criminal again.

I got caught. My shiste skills are quite rusty. If i would have snatched the whole pack, i would have been o.k.
But instead i tried to open it up, take a few, and put them back. He turned around and saw me right as i was putting the pack down, and i played it off like i was moving it to grab something of mine that was right next to it.
I don't know if he bought it, but it was very exciting either way.

Life is death defying enough for me, you escape death each and every day that you live.
