Persimmons please

The persimmon trees on my property are gonna drop in the next week or so. Anyone have recipes?
I have pudding, and jelly/jam recipes, it seems thats all the old ladies in my moms church know how to make. How about pickled persimmons, like pickled beets maybe? Or possibly something that only includes persimmons, a meat dish with them would be good.
They are wild persimmon trees BTW, the fruits are larger than a grape, but not quite the size of a plum. I once made the mistake as a child of eating a not yet ready to drop persimmon, it was like eating a spoonful of Alum.

deer love persimmons, what you should do is put a tree stand up and kill a deer. Then you will have allot better options like chilli, burgers, and jerky.

You are correct there. but the the trees are on land that my grandfather owned while alive. He never allowed hunting, even though it is my land i will respect his wishes until i need to hunt the wildlife.
Speaking of, in the years over time, there are more wild animals on that tract of land than on the neighboring sites. I think the game animals have come to realize they are safe on this chunk of land. It is a 200 acre tract that hasn't been hunted on in over 80 years.
I would have some easy shots though. The deer will let you within 10 feet before they bolt, the squirrel and rabbit will eat from your hands.when dove season is going i toss out millet in the fields, just so they have a safe field to eat from, and eat it they do.
But if my grandfather allowed us to hunt the homeland, none of these animals would be around.
Just wanted to add, i do my hunting elsewhere. I just cant bring myself to hunt my grandfathers land, when he specifically forbade it while he was alive. I think i would limit out at home if i decided to, but there is something cool about seeing the same deer year after year.

That's very noble of you.
