These albums are really good for tripping.
Fantomas- Delirium Cordia( this album is insane, one song,70 minutes)
Kelley Deal 6000 - Go to the sugar altar(great)
Queens of the stone age - 1st album( I appricated this album more high. I think Josh Homme and Co. were stoned out of their minds when they made it, so it's better high.)
The desert sessions 9 & 10
Flaming lips - Hit to death in the future head
Bjork-Post( perfect mushroom music)

Infected Mushroom ftw!!!
I'm the Supervisor is one of the best electronic dance music albums ever created.
I like Drum n Bass too when I'm tripping because of all the dirty, twisty, warped bass-lines.
I would recommend an album called Disturbance by Concord Dawn. Tunes 'Cloud City' and 'Escher' will trip you the fuck out
EDIT: But obviously The Doors and Tool remain the greatest tripping assets ever. Made by trippers, for trippers

the flaming lips is a wonderful choice to listen to. i would go for Soft Bulletin or Yoshimi though. also Electric Tears or Colma by Buckethead is a guaranteed adventure. Purple Onion by ccfffb if you want something fun. I've had a couple amazing high dose experiences with A perfect Circle thirteenth step. Many albums by king crimson are great, Cirkus is a nice mix. Blue man group Audio. Postal service.
Sometimes it is best to not listen to the words. Hear the voice as another instrument. See the music for what it is not for what the words try to imply.

Toubab Krewe... if you like rock in any shape or form, check them out. They are seriously unbelievable.
Believe it or not, I've always wanted to trip to some Death cab for cutie (some of their stuff)(no emo)
Straylight Run, especially the song Your Name Here. Great to trip to.
A song by Jason Mraz called "Life is Wonderful". I listened to it over and over on acid and it blew my mind each time. He does acid to come up with material, so I've read.
Just a few, then of course there are always the classics

^^^^^^^^
Air is amazing for tripping, i was outta my mind on a big DOC dose and my friend put on surfing on a rocket, it was the first AIR song i'd ever heard, and it put me in the best place ever. so sweet. That being said my favorites have always been The Grateful Dead, Phish, and the Disco Biscuits. I cant really get into the heavy electronic stuff or psy-trance its just not for me. The closest i come to electronic when im tripping is Bisco, and they blow my mind.

Try listening to 10 000 Hz legend while tripping. It'll blow your mind.
Velvet underground is great too, although I haven't tripped to it I believe it'd suit well for it.

Werd. I always make a big deal picking out trippy music to prepare, but half the time the best music I hear is just completely random stuff my friends put on. Or it's something you'd never call "psychedelic" but just satisfies the trip perfectly.
One of my biggest problems is that I love to listen to trippy music whether I'm tripping or not, then when I listen to it tripping it's predictable from so much listening and not as special...
That having been said, in my opinion some of the best mushroom music ever composed is by Jimi Hendrix. Mushrooms always give me a feeling of overwhelming mental/emotional intensity, and Hendrix's tunes are just intense enough to match it... Electric Ladyland is perfect. Some of those tracks are just completely brain-melting.
I was listening to Beethoven's 9th on shrooms recently, and I literally forgot I was listening to anything... because I was too busy staring at the mazes and kaleidoscopic displays old Ludwig Van had somehow conjured. Classical music gives me synaesthesia when I'm sober, so it's a perfect match for tripping too.

I made a pretty trippy mix a while back, not sure if you saw it or not but here is a quote from that thread.
Quote:
TrippinTeddy said: Here is the revised version of the cd. I'm actually currently working to mix these songs together to make one long continuious song.
In this new version I've added and moved songs around. It is far too long to burn to a cd, so you might have to mix and match if you want to burn it. Or you and add to an MP3 player like an ipod or something to listen to the full cd.
This link is permanent now that div share is back up. No download time limit. http://www.divshare.com/download/1888122-426
I will try and have the mixed version up before the weekend is over.
Here is the thread that is from if you are interested at all. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/7378733#Post7378733
I'm currently working on a all new cd with different artist. Its pretty fucking awesome so far and I will be making a tread about it soon. Enjoy!
