completely against the rules.
there are so many places in the bay area to hunt that all you need to know is that the rains have started [and they will soon] and that there are thousands upon thousands of locations with good habitat where fruitings can and do occur. when they start, check out the myriad of wood chip covered landscaping areas there are seriously all over the place and anywhere where many many branches, twigs, etc. of deciduous trees and shrubs fall and accumulate.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Here you go. You will be able to find mushrooms in any of the green areas on the map. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=sf&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&ll=37.748458,-122.433701&spn=0.129761,0.2314&z=12&om=1
