My subbs
    #7492655 - 10/06/07 08:57 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Found all these today while I was working... seems like they haven't been around in months, then today, I find three in a cluster, about twelve more in a small patch, then a few more in different lawns either alone or in groups of two or three.

I printed them all, they're all jet black prints. A couple of these were way darker than I usually find 'em, and a few were almost grey-white.

Planning on eating them now... probably not enough to get too gone, but probably a good time at least.

just found another bunch of them, and what I believe are two pan foes, because the stems are wrong and they just look off. Printing the new batch now, and we'll see how good I am at IDing subbs by sight.

Funny thing is, I found these because I saw some yellowish mushrooms in a fairy ring, and wanted to see what they were. Lucky me, this second batch was found in the neighborhood behind my house. I think I found a goldmine of subbs in my back yard... woot!

I'll have to have implee over for a bioassay.

So today, I went to work, walked around a neighborhood and found a shitload more pan subbs. They were in almost every lawn I walked through. Older neighborhoods, too... I don't know how old, but at least 20 years or more. Not sure what they're using for fertilizer, but there were good patches of subbs in some places, and some large ones that grew long stems to get out of high grass.

I'll upload pics if I don't pass out first. Long hard day.

Great find my friend. You are right, those are some of the whitist subbs I have ever seen! I once dosed a small amount of Pann subbs that gave me a level 1-2 trip, it was pretty awesome, they are some of the best trips. Have fun.

Enjoy them with the stomache that accompanies ingestion of large amounts of foens cause that is what you have.

I've eaten foes to no ill effect. And those are definately subbs, as long as the spore print is black.

Foes and Subbs can look identical. Every time i go out to find them, i end up with about 50% foes, and 50% subbs. So to say that he doesnt have an subbs would be pessimistic I think.

I agree. Foes and subbs can be nearly indistinguishable in the field. Likewise, it may be impossible to distinguish foes from subbs based on a photograph - distinctions may based on subtle color differences, and color may not be true on a photograph.

Thus, a sporeprint is determinative. Pinhead said the print was black, that rules out foes.

Here's a gill comparison shot. Subbs on top, foes on bottom:

absolutely all black prints. As a matter of fact, I've picked over 100 in the past few days and not one has printed any color other than jet black.

no foes here. not one. Damn, I'm lucky.
