Can you make the argument:

'eye' think, therefore 'eye' am.
When we judge a book by it's cover we are judging by appearances. Society puts great stock on appearances. The well groomed fellow in a suit is more apt to be what you're looking for in a salesman than some longhaired hippie/freak.
If a hippy/freak wanted a job as a salesman they know what image the employer seeks, therefor they are playing into the common paradigm that appearances or facevalue, as in personal beauty, is an automatic index of worth.
(something I was playing around with, not quite knowing where it leads to.)

In the world of tomorrow (Today) vision of the salesman is not necessary. The skankiest Asian can sell you something over the internet because the brain is overrules the eye in judgement. (this has always been the case for people who can discern, but for the sake of argument...)

You can make any argument you want. Crazy people do it with themselves on the subway all the time.
You can have all the principles and values in the world but at the end of the day bills still need to be paid. If some "hippy/freak" needed the salesman job and had to change their appearance because of it, who are you to discredit their beliefs or principles?

These days via internets hippy/freaks don't need to change their appearences, so I don't get what you're saying.

Could we elect a paraplegic black person for president of the U.S. based on judgement of the 'Eye'?

How does this relate to the topic: 'Eye' think, therefor 'eye' am.? (somebody make the argument)

What the hell is your point? In the day of the caveman the "judgement of the eye" is all they had to go on in order to find a suitable mate. You didn't see Cro-Magnon woman breaking up with Cro-Magnon man because he was too insensitive to her feelings. She had a good body suitable for the reproduction necessary to perpetuate the species.
You only come up with arguments like this because man has become so far detached from his natural roots that it's no longer about survival instincts.

I don't see what you're trying to prove with that picture.
The sculpture depicts a woman with large breasts suited for milk production, wide hips suited for carrying a child, and plenty of fat for the child to feed from if times are rough and food is scarce.
It seems that you are trying to compare the society of today's view of a "good body" with that of our more reproductive and survival-minded ancestors.

Sex is one thing but electing a sex toy into authority is evidence of questionable judgement.
