Counteracting laziness

I'd like to hear some methods for reducing laziness, realizing potential, potential of information clarification, creation, and observing improvement of the actual nature of your understanding every moment possible.
Involvement in a lot of activities i suppose could be a seemingly useful endeavor, but the activity itself would have to be of one that supports accumulative activity based on the very essence of what it was (basically any accelerated reasoning/applied imagination) what you do has to be more than just expenditures of energy for the sake itself.
I have a difficulty staying completely engaged when I want to. I want to read and discover as much as I can, but I find during the process my mind and imagination becoming dull and listless

There's no secret to being less lazy. Set goals and follow through on them.
-------------------- ...the whole experience is (and is as) a profound piece of knowledge. It is an indellible experience; it is forever known. I have known myself in a way I doubt I would have ever occurred except as it did. Smith, P. Bull. Menninger Clinic (1959) 23:20-27; p. 27. ...most subjects find the experience valuable, some find it frightening, and many say that is it uniquely lovely. Osmond, H. Annals, NY Acad Science (1957) 66:418-434; p.436

Adderall XR is amazing for this, but probably not the best way to handle a lack of motivation.

Weed motivates me to do things. At some point in my smoking career, it started having opposite effects on me.
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND
