Question about Air Flow (I am new btw)

Hello everyone, I have been reading the forums for about a month now so I decided to join. You guys have alot of very very useful information and I want to thank you so I decided to join.
I have had my cakes colonizing now for about 2 weeks on 86 deg/f, one of them was 100% complete waited a couple of days and I dunked it last night so it is chillin in the fridge. My other 4 are on their way quite well.
I have been following PF TEK and I am useing a rubber maid terrarium with holes drilled on all six sides. I am going to also use Perlite as my grow median and I dont know wheather I should case this cake because I am going to make spore prints out of it and syringes to keep the culture alive.
The strain is tasmanian also.
My question is: Can I have a oscillating fan oscillating on my terrarium. Or should I fan twice a day. Going to grow in 75 degree room temperature 2
thank u

First, cold shocking in the fridge is not nessesary, cold shocking refers to a drop in temp by about 10F, not sticking it in the fridge.Dunking ur cakes in a pot of cold water overnight is more than enough.
U can case ur cakes if u feel confident with casing procedures, 2 cakes crumbled into a tray and cased with a casing material choosen from a tek u have read.
Weather you just roll in verm and stick it in your FC or case it. It will still fruit, fruits drop spores, there u go spore print.
You will need to fan more than that, at least 4 times a day.

To learn the mushroom life cycle with the least chance of screwing things up, I'd suggest the dunk and roll. After you get a grow under your belt, crumble and case your next batch or spawn it to manure or straw.
Reduce the temperature your jars are colonizing at. 86F is too hot. I recommend normal room temperature. If your house is 75F, that's great. RR

I wouldn't put a fan in the terrarium just fan a few times a day. More is good but do something to keep the humidity from falling. Like RR always tells people, incubating causes more problems because it increases contams. I like to colonize my jars at room temp and then leave the windows open all night when they are in the FC. It works just fine.
