Birthed Cake
    #7489883 - 10/05/07 08:41 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

I just birthed my first Pf cake and it smelled really good. I saw some small mushroom pins growing out of the vermiculite layer and i was wondering if the 12 hour dunk im giving will affect the pins in any way.

I think PF would recommend taking all the pins off before dunking, but I don't think it is needed.

Although soaking a growing mushroom in water seems like something to avoid.

My foaf recommends not dunking until after the first harvest, just his opinion.

if you dunk you should roll it in some verm afterwards to retain the moisture.
