ok i have a question about dxm i know this is the wrong thread but no one will answer it anywhere else but so im not completley wrong i have a mushroom question to attatch to it so first dxm.
i bought 2 bottles of robitussin cough gels that all together is 600mg dxm which is considered a strong trip but the bottle says it is a non narcotic formula. so will this effect the trip or what....
now shroomz in order to grow shroomz you need a syringe of spores. so how do they grow in nature off cow manure. what is it that triggers them to grow. is psilocybin in cow poo or what??????

spores are ingested by the grazing animal. spores incubate in animals stomach. animals drops a duece and mycelium is all ready to fruit as soon as the next rains come. as for the dxm why even waste your time with it? there are so many other chemicals that are better.

different is the word i would use. i love dxm. although i don't dose anymore with it i have had some very amazing experiences with it.

where do the spores come from they eat wouldnt makes sense for a animal to eat right next to poo. i guess they could blow in the wind. but what about contam? and isn't it the better part of a 100 degrees in an animals stomach? so which came first the spore or the shroom

think cows.. they dont digest there food even 10% to the effct humans do. a average body temp for a horse/cow is 99-102 within safe temp IMO and the average digestive cycle of a horse is long enough for spore germination, but not for sustained growth (which would suck because the temps are high and bactiria are ubiqutous.) Again this is only my opinion.

cow poo + spores carried by wind = mycelia
mold spores + sunlight/fresh air = pwned mold
why bother extracting dxm? if the ONLY ACTIVE INGREDIENT in whatever gels/syrup is DXM, then you're fine.

hmm ive never tried dxm sounds fun though as for the shrooms youve come to the right place just simply visit grow mushrooms in this site and you should have everything taken care of but serioulsy dont be dumb and inject spore solution into some random cows mouth although that might work but i wouldnt because of the contams and other nastys that could infiltarte the shroom causing you to either become very sick or possibly die

Highc, You want to get gel tabs that are 100% DXM.You can find them on the net really cheap at online drug stores. Search Dextromethorphan
The reason that you don't want to take cold medicines is because some of the other ingredients that are in the cold medicines can cause organ damage/failure at those high of doses required to get high.

Yes, definetly extract even some of the non medicinal ingredients can be trouble, i drank a half a bottle of syrup with sorbitol in it, it made me puke all over my bathroom and gave diarrhea for a week.The trip was nice but i dont think ill do it again id rather stick with weed and shrooms.

i dont think ya read its gel caps not syrup and dxm is only active ingredient.....but lets not get my thread closed i am more interested in the natural growin shroomz now.....whay about the ones that grow in the woods where do they come from....

You guys are misinformed about DXM. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't touch the stuff now, but before I had any experience with other drugs DXM was my shit. I heavily researched it when I was fifteen and Walgreens was a short walk away.
The only Dextromethorphan I've ever ingested was the Robotussin CoughGels, which are the ones the OP is referring to. They don't have any other active ingredients, so there is no need to extract. I used to eat those a lot, and they never gave me any negative side effects. I never even puked. You're fine to take two bottles of those, highc. Have fun man.
As to your second question, wortiesbo nailed it. Let me see if I can clarify for you.
When a mushroom veil breaks, spores are spread to the area around the poo, and they stick to surrounding grasses and such. Cows can walk by and get spores on their legs and spread them to other surrounding areas. Then that same cow could graze the grass that it spread the spores to, ingest the grass and the spores, go through the cow's stomach which serves as incubation, and then the cow shits a nutritious blend of different kinds of seeds and grasses that Mycelium flourishes in.
The mycelium spreads through the cow shit, dries, is re-hydrated by the rain and because of the harsh conditions it has to go through, it immediately produces mushrooms (assuming the temperature is right) so it can spread it's spores and reproduce. Then the cycle repeats itself.
Contamination is not a problem, Mother Nature sorts out all those problems.

Same thing in the forest. Insects eat the mushrooms, covering themselves in spores, and burrow in trees etc innoculating them
