Possible Liberty Cap Find???

Are these liberty caps or something else? Help me ID please!

Habitat: Dirt/twigs/mud - Found in deciduous and evergreen woods growing from the ground.
Gills: Purple-brownish
Stem: Whiteish at the top and then tan at the bottom
Cap: Tan - darker tan around the outside and lighter towards the middle, almost 3/4 of an inch in diameter on the biggest ones.
Spore print color: N/A, still making one.
Bruising: The gills seem to have gotten a little darker, no bruising on the stems.
Location: Pacific North West, Portland, Oregon.

Okay, please forgive the state of these mushrooms. We didn't go to this forest intending to pick mushrooms, we just found a whole bunch that looked possibly promising and picked away. These ones were put into my boyfriends jeans pocket... so they're really bruised and a bit mushed up.
Habitat: Dirt/twigs/mud - Found in deciduous and evergreen woods growing from the ground.
Gills: Tanish purple, but the really bruised ones are dark brown/purple.
Stem: Mostly tan but a little white at the top.
Cap: Light grayish tan, almost 1 inch in diameter on the biggest ones.
Spore print color: N/A, still making one.
Bruising: Only on the gills, they bruised very very dark brown/purple.
Location: Pacific North West, Portland, Oregon.
Let me know if I need to put up more pictures. As soon as the prints are made I'll take a picture and post them too. This is the first time I've found anything, so I've never asked for an ID. I'm sorry if I've missed something I was supposed to tell you.

does not look like you have any actives! You do not want to look in the forest for libs. Your best bet is open pasture lands. Look up Psilocybe. Stuntzii Psilocybe Cyanescens Psilocybe beaocytis Psilocybe Azurescens these are other actives that grow in your area

the main difference i see is yours have no vertical striations, none have nipples, and the shape is wrong.
keep looking and referencing pics online. i'm sure you'll get lucky.

Oh they do have vertical striations, they don't really have nipples though. I thought a cone is the right shape?

Well after looking at pictures of psilocybe azurescens, I think I saw at least 10 million of those out there. I didn't pick them because I thought white gills are a bad sign?? I'm going to go pick those asap.

I wont??? Then where? and do they really have white gills? I found pictures where they are white and some where they are yellowish. Where will I find them if not in the forest? That's the only place I've ever even heard of them being found. And I saw like a million that looked just like the pictures!

Okay. I've looked over it a lot. I've been mushroom hunting twice now and the first time I was looking for azures at the beach and didn't find anything, and this site told me to look in the forest at the beach. So, if it really does tell me everything I need to know, where does it tell me?? I'd love to read it.

You CAN find liberty caps in cleared areas of FORESTS, such as log landing/staging areas, areas that's been cleared for gas wells, power lines, etc., as long as the area has been cleared for at least a year or two and has a grassy area that is open to the sky. To verify this, just search "liberty caps mushroom" on google.

yeah i wouldnt be so vague on just how it looks you wanna trip? get the facts you wanna get sick or possibly die ignore them we dont want you to be an example to what ignorance means or another picture on yournotdoingitright.com (dont go there its not funny) i particularly have a dry sarcasm sense of humor but enough rambling things like this lead to greater penalties for possesing and grow magic mushrooms like being so illegal that you cant buy spores anymore

To be honest with you thats how people end up in the hospital.
Research some more, concentrate on one active, and then go out.

i bet it said to look in wooded areas... not in the woods... Like their will be wood debris on the ground mixed in with the dune grasses for the azures. Keep reading before you go to crazy with mushroom picking... The PNW has a lot of poisonous mushrooms be careful!
