    #748829 - 07/15/02 06:50 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

i speak italian, french, spanish and english
during this educational process i have thought about the evolutions of language.
Are there any out there that belive that language was firstly telepathic
Are there any out ther that can explain the evolution of the various languages from around the world?

I don't believe that language was firstly telepathic. I believe that it could evolve into that. If you look at how language evolved it started as maybe a grunt and pointing at a "thing". So it came to be called that "grunt". Over time there were many different kinds of grunts and pitches and lengths. Then different grunts were put together to express a whole thought. You can see the progression. It stands to reason that the more efficient we become at communication the more that would be favored (evolutionarily speaking). In some way it already exists: sometimes a person that you know very well like a spouse or parent or child will just throw a glance or facial expression of some sort and you know whayt it means. Why couldn't this become more and more refined and evolve into telepathic communication.

Good post... I agree wholeheartedly.

As to

Why couldn't this become more and more refined and evolve into telepathic communication.

I believe this will be part of the next step in human evolution... I think we have pretty much stopped evolving physically. The only thing left to evolve is our minds. Perhaps it has something to do with the theory of a consciousness evolution that will occur on the Mayan calendar end date in 2012.

I also believe we are evolving telepathicly, and I think some people are already more evolved than others. Dont you notice sometimes how you can feel the emotion of a person without talking to them or even looking at them? Or you walk into a room and you can tell there was just a fight in there? I think this like irradiated in your aura somehow, like an electrical field or somthing, and when your aura comes in contact with it it feels that emotion or whatever it transfers it to your brain. Now pass the bowl

you can probably tell that there was a fight because there is blood on the floor and the bar tables are turned over.

i think language is an externalization of inner thought processes (another language, probably best described as visual). through interaction with other humans we have realized the need to externalize our internal processes, i.e. verbal utterances. i think a more interesting approach to this question is: what affect has socialization had on our language. what aspects of our internal language were lost in the process of externalizing them, if any? i tend to think that the laborious process of externalizing one's inner processes would have a detrimental effect. i think the internal language is probably faster and richer. i think that many things can be represented in this internal language that are lost in translation. i think drugs can help us access this language.

I agree that we are heading to a time in which we will be able to communicate telepathically. When i am around others, that i consider "indigo" type people, seemingly, I do not have the feeling that I need to communicate. I get a sense that they "understand".

having only studied the romance languages, based in latin, it is interesting to see how, different cultures created variations surrounding similar themes. Words are often the same. the structures of teh languages are similar. The differences in these 3 seem to me to be almost a personality difference. For instance, in french, almost routinely, one is required to speak all the words of teh sentence, the subject, verb ect. Spanish an ditalian , by avrying the verb usage can, by the word alone, tell you who is speaking and in what tense, with one word only. In french, you might know who or you might know tense but need to say both words. Some languages seem to be more efiicient.

I know littl eto anything about asian languages, but i understand that one symbol, similar to lets say the heiroglyphics of the egyptians can mean an entire paragraph or create and entire feeling.

personally, i think, telepathic , means of communicating, whil eit may be evolving, is in my opinion, something, that at some time apst, was LOST.

Ever notice the million times when you look at someone and they are NOT looking at you? Totally amazing!

That's nothing!

Lately I have been being followed by the gov't. When I drive down the freeway they are right behind me. I know it is the gov't because they are real sneaky and keep changing cars and using different drivers!

I hate that.

Yeah, but the pulp novel written about the Mayan Calendar makes many fabricated claims that unformed minds sometimes swallow whole.
