Pressure Cooker only does 10psi

So I just bought a pressure cooker for the mushroom endeavor I am attempting. When I got it home I realized not only does it not have the rack for canning but it only goes to 10 psi. The rack is an easy problem to fix by putting the jars on some canning jar lids but is the only 10 psi going to be a problem? Well I am sure it will work fine if I just raise the time a bit but is this going to hinder me later if I start doing WBS or some other method? I really hate buying things twice.
I am wondering if I should just return this and sterilize with a pot for now and buy a pressure cooker online or something later that does a higher psi. I really want to get started now because I got the spores in yesterday... yes patience is a virtue, nuts to that :p And I am doing it the PF Tek method, in case you were wondering.
Oh hi, I'm Nem. I'm new here!

Learn patience... trust me.
Once you knock up your jars, try not to check them 5 times a day...
Not sure about PC, but people do without.

Haha I am sure my patience will get better once I get going. It's just when I am first starting a new thing I want to do it now now now, sleep, class and work be damned.
Like when I first started brewing beer, I was sicking my nose in it every time I walked by to smell it brewing and look at it. Now I have it on my calender when they will be done fermenting because I don't care to look :p
But my main concern is when I start using grain and seed and stuff like that. Can 10psi get to a high enough temp to kill the uglies?

Your ability to be patient definitely goes up as you venture deeper into this hobby. Once you start doing more advanced things you'll probably become a perfectionist like most on here.

When patience makes a difference between success and frustrating failure, you learn. I learned the hard way after the first couple runs... The number one rule after keeping things sterile is don't mess with stuff until the right time!

10psi, absolutely. I'd guess there's only about 15 degrees at most change between boiling temperatures of 10 and 15psi.

You'll still get into the upper 230s or so, I believe (do the calculations above, I'm only guesstimating from memory). This will be more than enough to kill bacteria; I'd tack on an extra hour or so to the pressure cooking process to be sure.
As for your issue with the rack, I've found that simply scattering bottlecaps on the bottom works great. It ensures a buffer between the extreme heat and your jars, while taking up very little vertical space. Good luck!

That's not very helpful unless we know what your spawn material is. Rye and WBS will have to be PCed for a good 2 hours in that pressure cooker. If, as I suspect, you're preparing PF jars, you don't especially need the pressure cooker anyhow.

Thanks guys. Right now my spawn material is BRF so I'm not worried at this point. But eventually I will be going to WBS or something of the like and I don't want it to be a concern then. But it seems the general consensus is that I will be fine.

10 psi is good not the best but good. I bought one not to long ago. It's been working fine. I just do PF cakes then crumble to case.
I tried the WBS twice but never went all the way the damn things kept germinating before drying.
Yes they are all right above. If your doing PF cakes you don't need one but it's good to have one. I do mine at one hour.
For the WBS or Rye they are right also about 2 hours. Make sure the water isn't touching the jars, I just lost one cause my water was too high and it cracked one jar.
But long story short 10 is good enough.
