Candidate Match Game

From USA Todays web site. Answer 11 questions of varying topics including Iraq war, gay marriage, health care, and global warming and they match you up with three candidates who share your views; or at least claim to. I got #1 Rudy, #2 Ron Paul, and #3 Hillary. I was surprised with Hillary being on my list since I'm part of the anybody but Hillary camp, but regardless I'm voting for Ron Paul.

Kind of hard because the choices they give you are either limited or NOT mutually exclusive...
but I ended up with...
1, Mitt romney 2, Guliani 3, Mccain
...Probably because I suggested that states take care of their own problems.
Fred thompson was the lowest on the list for me.
As much as I hate republicans.. I have to admit that I like the way they deal with handling money, taxes, etc. Everything else they totally fuck up. As much as I hate Guliani as a person there's a part of me that MIGHT vote for him because he's fiscally conservative, but pretty much a democrat in social issues like abortian, immigration, etc. He's for the war though which is what would irk me about voting for him. That and he's a douche.

According to this thing, Ron Paul says we should get away from corporate and social medecine.. scrap the system and let the free market decide.
Isn't that contradicting himself? Is what we have now a result of the free market system?

I think the quiz is mostly for entertainment. They don't touch on issues like drug policy reform, the working poor, education, childhood obesity, the trade deficit, etc. To be honest I don't really give a fuck about the war or gay marriage. Who really cares about gay marriage anyway; other than gays or hard core right wingers? I know gay people who don't care about gay marriage.

Some of us aren't gay.
Or right-wingers.
Just anti-discrimination.

there just aren't a lot of republicans that genuinely espouse any intent to shrink government except indirectly vis a vis a revised tax code which doesn't even guarantee any reduction in bureaucratic bloat at the IRS.
With FEMA, HMS, TSA and expanded spending for the NSA, CIA and FBI the past two presidents have created large, useless and expensive money pits.

Yes it is. I hate to admit it but I like his songs. I almost said I like his shit but considering we're talking about GG Allin it might be taken literally.
As far as not caring about gay marriage... It's just one of those issues that will never have an affect on me. I'm not gay and I'm not married and I have no plans of being either one in the future. I think gays should have the same marriage rights as straight people. It's just not an issue I consider when determining weather I will vote for some one or not.

As I said, loaded questions. It was difficult to answer the questions in a way that it wouldn't pick her.
