Hey. So check it out right? I had some FUlly colonized WBS in a black bag that I had forgotten about, well, 2 days later I come back to find it has turned into a Block. So I Dunked in the fridge over night, Rolled it in verm, Then popped it in the FC...to my dismay, it wasn't fruiting ten min later! but then a little while later, I thought the rolling in verm might be a dumb idea, so I rinsed it all off. Then I decided to stop fucking around and do the proven method. But then I was like, naw fuck that, because I figured b/c I had already cold shocked it that it was too late, and that it had seen way too much light to still be in "Colonoization mode".So WHat should I do? Case it? or leave it like it is, (Like this)
 Thanks For any insight. -Schlagster

dude just leave it in some sort of container and LEAVE IT ALONE lol. when your doing anything with colonized substrate u wanna know exactly what your doing to it ahead of time and do it as fast and sterile as possible.
I'd say crumble it up (with gloves or put it in a bag) into trays or into a mono-tub and add substrate then eventually a casing layer. you need patience, it can take 5-15 days for pins to form after you start exposing it to light so i wouldnt worry about it turning off "colonization mode", should take at least 2 hours of straight light to begin to initiate fruiting mode, probly more than that.
cant tell wut is in the pic i dont see colonized anything man just uncolonized brown stuff

Umm, you are all over the place with your problem lol
From what I just read, you removed your colonized WBS block from the fridge, rolled it in verm and im assuming you ment 10 days later it wasn't fruiting...
From what everyone says, WBS alone is not a very good substrate it's intended purpose is to be used as bulk spawn see'ing as its tiny size allows for superior bulk sub runs. Dunking WBS wont do anything either see'ing as the grains wont retain anymore water..
It takes anywhere from 10-14days to see pinhead development on any substrate, give it some more time and please proof read your posts to make it easier for us to read, you discombobilated me

yea im no expert, but no rook either. he pretty much summed it up tho, i'd only put verm on brown rice flour cakes but not on WBS, as he said its used for bulk grows because it gets colonized quickly. you could crumble it all up, put some substrate over it, let it colonize in the dark then put verm or something on top as a casing layer (causing badass things to happen).
generally tho u should read about what your doing 10x more than doing it just to be sure of success. do 1 step wrong or half-assed and you risk failure. even if u do mess up you'll have a much better chance next time but im sure ur spawn is probly fine.

...STMQ (smiling to myself quietly)
Thanks. Thats what I thought the only thing that might of got fuct is they have def been exposed to more than two hours (of direct light) The ten minutes was a noob joke, (read some of my post)lol I proofread. And I have read all about all the casings and this is my SECOND run at it so as you say I should have a better chance. I'm doing all the other ones by the book,(to the letter) no, to the PUNCTUATION. (exspecially Exclamation points) Like when it says in the oven bag tek DON'T LET IT GET ABOVE 185!! This one, This one is like I said, just like an Accident. (gotta love those right) It just made a block I had forgot about. so I figured if I "Fuck around" and try some shit, I risk no "collateral damage" as my project is coming along very nicely. RR you'd be proud. I did my first Grain to Grain (WBS to WBS) 4 jars The pics didn't turn out.
Weasel, the brown is the verm. Heres better pic of this "Thing" this... "Bird seed block" if you will.

Im gonna do what you all said. crumble it and case it when its ready. I'll update this situation a lil later. Thanks yall.

Schlager, you're improving a little bit. ...it is hard to tell though if it's going to fruit after you fucked around with it so much and for future reference, it doesn't matter if you're colonizing in light or darkness.

next time just crumble it up after full colonization and put some bulk substrate on top (poo, or coir if your janky like me), let colonize, put casing layer on, let colonize, then fruit.
spawn to a 3-4" substrate though, more myc food = more fruits!

...out of curiosity, why would it not fruit after being "fucked with" alot? (Myc) Does it just get like "Cranky?" does it "Die" or does it just go into like a dormant state? ( wHEN you "Fuck with it?" Thanks for all the insight! I'll keep you all posted. Stay up. -SCHLAGER

if stress it takes time to recover using energy that it could have used for fruiting.

... But then;so, (in time) it will FULLY RECOVER? or will I NEVER see the fruitage that I would have (had I not fucked with it)
...Its funny, have yall seen that movie "Black Sheep" wit chris farley (RIP) and he takes that roll and he's showing how he does a sale, and he's like "I love it, and hug it, and then eventually ends smashing it in his hand...and just completely ripping it to shreds yelling and screaming..."OH GOD!" (like only he can do)
thats how I am with my MYC. lol.

I think your block of seed will fruit eventually. It probably just won't be the best flush youve ever seen.
