rotten apple smell

so i had a fully colonized jar of finchseed that had a little mycelium discharge (yellpwish liquid)...everything looked good but when i started to break up the seed in my casing container it started to smell like rotten apples or yeast....I'm guessing i should throw it out but has anyone ever had this before?

Yep, its bacteria and I hate that dam smell. Better luck next time.
