A few questions1234

i just started an account on this website. I have grown mushrooms before but it has been a while.
Before i start my procedure again, i'm just trying to gather as much information as i can. Also getting answers to my questions
1] When the jars are fully colonized, and i leave them in for a week before fruiting. Do i need to allow them any light during thise time, and what temperature is best for them at this point. is it still 21-27 degrres?
2] How many times will i need to mist my cakes or casing? should they have a direct mist, or will water effect their growth?
3]Does fluorescent light or indirect sunlight work better in the fruiting process?
4]how do i know when the humidification in my terrarium is too low?
5] and last for now, if i were making a casing out of the 60/40 tek..coco coir and verm, would i need to pasturize or steralize the substrate in any way? people on here have done both non steralizing and sterilizing.
thanks, this site rocks.:)

1) Light doesn't matter while pf jars are colonizing. So you can leave them in the dark if you want to.
2) Do not directly mist your cakes. It depends on your fruiting chamber but you should try to mist and fan at least 4 times a day.
3) I think indirect is supposed to be the best, but I have only used fluorescent.
4) Get a hydrometer.
5) According to RogerRabbit you should pasteurize the casing layer. I have always sterilized but I will be pasteurizing on my current grow.

Leaving the jars colonize for another week lets the center colonize this is done in an incubator if you have one available.
Fluorescent work fine for me. They just tell the mushrooms which way to grow which is up heh.
Hydrometers are available at cigar shops get the analog not the digital ones. Most digital ones dint read above 85% and even if they do the high humidity fucks them up.
