MGMC Casing Problem

I'll be posting some pictures when I find my camera but here's the deal. I used MGMC casing for my grain, and now the mycelium you can kind of see on the top, but it's not big or anything...just barely there. However, at the very bottom of the casing layer I see about 7 pins about 1/2 cm long. Should I still keep it the way it is or what?
I just wanted to make sure that the casing layer would be find to leave. Thanks.

How thick is your casing layer? Did you incubate after casing? They should be fine if you leave them alone. They will push through the casing layer toward light.

The casing layer is about 1 CM at most. They're in a heat & humidity controlled environment too.

Why are you able to see all the way to the bottom of the casing layer on the sides? Has it already started pulling in/shrinking. On all my casings, i've not been able to see down the sides until the casing started shrinking and pulling away from the sides of the container, but that wasn't until after my first flush grew and I was about to harvest them. Just curious, i'm still relatively new to all this and haven't seen that question asked yet. Good luck...

I'm using a transparent tupperware container...I now realize that it probably wasn't the smoothest idea since light triggers where pins head towards.

most monotubs I have seen use a black trash bag, or black poly to cover the substrate/casing.
