 PREVEIW - NO GRAIN SPAWN OR PC BULK METHOD

It takes a thick healthy aggressive P. Cubensis strain LC.
A plastic microwave container, with tight fitting lid.
Drill, bit & Micropore tape.
Drill 3/8ths inch hole in tray lid & cover with Micropore tape.
Dehydrated compost, hydrated to field capacity with a liquid nutrient solution (LNS).
(liquid nutrient solution is a concentrated compost tea)
Hydrate 30% (volume) vermiculite to just under field capacity with LNS.
Hydrate 70% (volume) dehydrated compost with LNS, to field capacity.
Combine both & mix well.
Fill plastic microwave tray with loamy / airy like mix & nuke twice for 3 minutes.
With lid on tray, but only snapped down on one side.
(allows steam to escape).
Allow tray to rest inside the microwave 5 minutes.
(otherwise heat/stream will cause lid will pop off, when you close it.)
Reach in microwave, snap lid shut, remove tray & cool overnight.
Following day, inoculate straight through tray lid with 20ml of thick LC.
Cover inoculation hole with alcohol saturated Micropore tape.
Then shake tray gently, to insure LC gets mixed well with substrate.
Incubate tray in darkness, at high room temperatures (72 to 78F) .
Once substrate is colonized, snap open lid & add a hydrated & pasteurized casing cover.
(in this case 5 parts peat, 5 parts vermiculite, 1 part coir, pH balanced to 7.5 range).
Re-incubate tray (same as above), 3 days, or until mycelium crops out on the casing cover.
Expose tray to 12/12 off/on light cycle, FAE & room temperature.
(72/76, 85 to 90% rh)
   
First flush
4th flush.
Substrate was my tailor made compost.
This method failed with h/poo - repeatedly.
(hell if I know why)

Yup, they are small test trays.
I tried this about 5 times, 3 trays each time.
Until I got it down, right.
I also (stupidly) misfiled the in-between pic's somewhere.
And, at this moment cannot find them.
This is not a thing for newbies, without the right ingredients.

Compost has always interested me. Something about a pile getting to 150oF on its own intrigued me. It really cuts down on the disposal of yard and kitchen waste and its plain old fun to make. I'd love to have a tumbler, but have yet to get around to making one. A pile and a pitch fork works wonders though.

First, sweet tek man, once again, my hats off to ya my friend, on one hand you should write a big book of all these teks and tricks, however, on the other hand, i like getting these for free 
quick question in regards to: Quote:

this LNS wouldnt be the liquid poo runoff from a horse farm, would it? i have a friend who thinks the liquid poo(for lack of a better term) will do wonders, however i think the liquid poo is just the garbage that leaches out of the poo
how would i go about making some of your LNC compost tea?

shouldn't the micro spore tape be over the hole even during the nuking? maybe i just misread that.

Perhaps the poorly broken down ammonia nitrate kills the myc in the h/poo tests? In compost it gets broken down and 'assimilated' alot more, correct? The nitrogen is freed, and the ammonia gets broken down and distributed to newly formed, healthy(for mushrooms) compounds.

but thast why he had the lid cracked. if you snap on the lid after 5 mins and let it cool you still have a hole. i think at that point the micro tape would go on. or else there is no point in putting a lid on beucase lid with a hole isn't going to keep out contams while it cools overnight right. anyhoo im sure its just a wording thing.
ahh see i just reread the original post. what it said what inoculate right through the lid then put tape over that. there was never any mention of tape over the hole that was drilled into the lid that was just implied. confusion solved
