Dried out cake solutions

Before I come to the conclusion that my spore syringe is a dud, theres a possiblity that my brf cake may have lost all its moisture before it has started to produce mycelium. I was thinking of injecting water through the holes. Will this work? Its been three weeks by the way.

I wouldnt risk injecting this could result in contamination. If u followed the tek exactly them i doubbt that ur cakes dried out.
Assuming ur spores were from a vendor them something else may have went wrong.
A little more details on ur procedure and mainly where u got your syringe from, could u see spores in it (though even syringes that apear clear can still have many many thousands of spores suspended, just nice to see them clumping a little sometimes)
How much did u inject in each hole and did u see the solution down the sides of the glass?

I assume the cakes might be dried out cause I released the pressure and restarted cooking like 3 times I heard that drys it out and I only had foil as the lid so the seal wasnt as tight therefor moisture could escape. It just looks well dry. That and no growth in 3 weeks. But it could be the syringe cause I injected a mycobag too and it didnt work.
I got my spores from red eye frog and injected 1cc in each hole.

If you let the pressure out rapidly, your jars are totally dry. 15psi gives a temperature that is 30+ degrees above the boiling point. When you release the pressure, the moisture in your jars has no where to go but into the air, since water can't exist in a liquid state above 212F/100C.
Start over, and this time, allow the PC to cool for a few hours after shutting off before you open it. RR

I dont see why I should throw it away though? The question is whether it is possbile to inject water after 3 weeks? or will the spores have died? I understand that contamination is possible.
