So i found these mushrooms the other day, and i'm not a 100% sure of what they are. Thy have all the characteristics of the caerulipes except they only blued so far at the root. I live in Ontario and the seasons been warmer than usual so, the probability of finding them is still good. So can an expert out there tell me what these things are?????/

Nobody is going to download your .rar
Just upload the pictures, it's easier than going through the trouble of compressing and uploading that file.

Sounds promising. Make sure you save some dry specimens for a microscopic examination. You may have found rare specimens. And do upload your pictures since I won't be downloading that rar file.

Now actually they are turning ever so slightly blueish-greenish kind of color. The root is now a profound blue and they are on their 2nd day of drying.
Note i bruised then a little bit after drying them for about and hour or 2

Those are not Psilocybe caerulipes.
My guess is a deadly Galerina due to the orange spores and ring on the stem.
Do not eat them.
Can you describe the bluing in more detail? Which shade of blue, and which parts of the stem do you notice it on? If it really is bluing, it is possible that it is a small active gymnopilus species. But based on those pictures, I really think that you would die if you eat them.
The spore prints turned out rusty orange, right?
I recommend that you borrow a nice digital camera, turn on the macro mode, and take some pictures of these mushrooms in their native habitat. It would help quite a bit to see all stages of growth, from pins to mature mushrooms.

Since these arent what i'm looking for at all.... Where's a good place usually to go find hallucinogenic mushrooms. I live in Ontario and have these species here : Gymnopilus junionus Gymnopilus viridans Panaeolus sphinctrinus Panaeolus subbalteatus Psilocybe caerulipes Psilocybe silvatica
Now from what i understand, the places to go r forests or medows beside farms (which have been fertalized)

They don't really look like caerulipes to me, although I could see how one would think that they do look similar.
My guess: NOT caerulipes Percent Sure: 95%
The substrate is pretty spot on, I have found caerulipes to be extremely rare though. Not doubting that you can't find them, just saying that I don't think these are caers. Keep looking!
