Knotting in My Jars?? Too Late To Dunk? (pics)

These are my Verm+rye flour jars that colonized 100% only about a week ago. I just checked on them and this is what I find! So sometimes pins can form inside jars, but I read about keeping fully colonized jars for even several months with no problem. IF these look like the beginning of pins (or something else???) can I dunk for 24 hours in the fridge or will it harm them? Birth right away?? Damn I'd need to buy a new container for them today!
There were no dots yesterday! Now clearly a few! Not the greatest picture quality here, they are small little ball things =P

This jar took almost 30 days to colonize 100%, it seems to have those dots as well but didn't get a sharp picture of the other side that has more

My 2 cakes in the FC for 3 days have nothing I just keep the jars in a warm dark place.....

Those are primordia my friend, good sign indeed, they are ready to birth, but there is no immediate hurry, nor will dunking hurt anything at all...nice rhyzos...

Oh thanks! I didn't expect to see anything at least not so soon, was just doing a contam check. That one jar was so slow, part of the foil on top got ripped off some days ago, and I thought it wasn't doing any good. Damn cakes lol, why them and not the ones I birthed in the weekend

Just make sure you don't have any pins or mushrooms on the cake when you dunk it.
^ Umm I just found a bigger looking primordia thing that seems to have a light brown color on top, not a cap or anything but just color...
EDIT; well I dunked them anyways, on my way to buy a bigger FC for them

It sounds like they will be fine. I've seen jars dunked with pins and it not hurt the pins.
I have not heard of letting colonized jars sit for months and be ok though.
I wouldn't worry about the ones you have already birthed until it's been 7-10 days without growth.

Soaking cakes in water does not abort primordia/pins. In fact, I often dunk two or more times during a flush. This leads to a bigger crop. If your other cake isn't pinning, dunk it again. RR

In the future if you aren't sure you can just use a syringe to inject water into your cake or stick a thick straw on top and fill that every now and then with water.
As for the over incubation .. I think this works with grains only. When you cut up well colonized rye spawn with a knife you cut through the grain and can see that inside, it's still all brown and not white. I don't think until after a long overincubation period the mycelium has the structure and has deeply penetrated the grains enough to have the nutrients within at immediate access when it's time to fruit. In my opinion this is the cause for the benefits of overincubation.
Do we have the recipie used for the "poocake" on the front page?

Oh, thanks for the replies, good info
I wonder if the ones in FC aren't pinning because of too little fanning or humidity.... I have to leave them be for 12 hours because of studying. =/ Can't afford any humidity meter or other stuff...

If you have four to five inches of well drained perlite in the bottom of the terrarium, there's no need to worry. humidity will be fine. RR

Ummm I didn't find perlite so I am using expanded clay pellets... they look like this:

So I hear they can be used as a substitute but anyone know if I should change something? Like they don't provide as much humidity as perlite or something..
Perlite doesn't seem to be nearly as easily available in my country as in the USA for example
EDIT: I did a search before posting but didn't get any useful hits
