2 types of Ps. Cyans

Now i've encountered both as you all know, we have the cyans growing in grass with obvious woodchips below the grass, these cyans are often large and grow in great numbers. Than we have the cyans which are petite and grow on strictly woodchips and do not grow in as large enough numbers as the Cyans in grass do.
Now heres the kicker
I remember reading of this site awhile back that, the cyans which are petite and grow in strictly woodchips are more potent than the large cyans growing in the grass.
Now correct me if I'm wrong

The reason why the Cynas that grow in grass are bigger is probably because they need to get rid of their spores which can't happen if they are stuck to the grass. Therefore they grow a little higher (and often have a thicker stem to prevent to bend down). Additional there might be some nutrients they like, though I've seen several small Cyans growing from grass...
The reason small mushrooms are considered more potent than the big ones is that the active compounds of these mushrooms only develop to a certain stadium of growth (as far as I know it's when the pellicle breaks). While the fruit keeps getting bigger and gain mass, the mass of alkaloids stays the same. This is why the percentage of alkaloids is bigger in small mushrooms, than it is in big mushrooms.
This is, as far as I know the correct explanation for this "phenomenon".

How do you detect when the pellicle breaks? It seems this might save a lot of time in cultivating.

Well, when it's about Cyans and Azures it's pretty hard to tell, cause it's almost invisible, but as a rule of thumb you can say it's broken when the cap starts to open, so the spores can be drooped. I would suggest letting them grow a little longer so the spores and float around. When it's about Cubes you can pretty easily tell when the veil breaks, since it's clearly visible...

grass = shade and micro climate. so of course your gonna have more popping cus they have a better environment in mich to do so.
also from my expereince it seems cyan pins have a certin amount of inborn psilocybin. then they get more as they fill up with water. not saying go pivk pins, but yeah i think you knda have a half truth somwhere in that post

Sure do they have inborn alkaloids and it keeps getting more 'till a certain extend. Many people, as well as myself, have the opinion that it stops when shortly after they spread their heads.
