97 Saab 900s. It isn't too great in snow though, but it is a stick thank god. I used to drive a 90 Toyata Camry, the only thing that I like my Saab more for is the stick. Doesn't have a radio and my Camry had a pretty decent stereo, and it was just more comfortable. It was also my first car.
Actually, on second thought, the Saab is faster too.

2000 Cadillac Deville, I just bought it like a month ago. I've got the windows tinted and two 12" subs in the trunk for now. I'm gonna put some rims on it next summer but I don't know if I should go with 18's or 20's, right now I'm leanin toward the 20's.

I've got my camry to get 32mpg with engine modifications and such (no these ones don't give it any extra power... it's still a slow ass inline 4.)

I want an AE86 Corolla.

Sorry you feel that way, but I quite enjoy my car. Its no speed machine but its a comfy car and looks good imo, and I've not once had any trouble with it (except I once ran into a brick gate that toppled the brick column over, but it didn't do anything to my car but scrape up the front bumber a bit. Can you spot it?)
Plus the gas mileage ain't too bad at all. I filled up once on the way to bonnaroo from Memphis, and still had half a tank when we got to the Walmart. No complaints there!

you think? can beat an s4 at what?
turbo 4-cylinder vs. bi-tubro v6
camber? on a motorcycle?
that's what you get for driving under the influence, my ass can beat you nissan
hopefully anyone with a DUI won't be driving either, hopefully for a long time
Dude your car runs stock in a quarter mile in 14.2 @98mph. Apparently you know nothing, but the stereotype of bigger displacement means faster a car, what an idiot. And I'll be driving very shortly, I'll make sure I take out an S4 for you and post the video on youtube for you nashbar.

They are pretty cool cars, a cult classic among road racers. Nissan somehow managed to make a brilliant package with that car. However, I tried one after owning a long line of RWDs, and after about 2 weeks I sold it because I couldn't handle front wheel drive.
The car is still very good.. I just don't like the feeling of the engine load on the front tires as you go around a corner.

This was a freebee, otherwise I'd definitely be driving a Nissan right now. Might invest a little for a new intake and exhaust, but other than that I'm not going to spend any money on it other than regular maintenance. Still savin' up for that dream car.

honestly the fwd doesnt bother me. not like the motor is that heavy anyway. i dont do auto-x or anything like that and only have a few basic mods so far(intake, header, cams).
my original plans were to swap in a bluebird or gti-r motor but forced induction is just too much maintenance for me right now.
a good friend of mine has a sr20VE in his 95ser, its pretty fucking quick.
then we just helped another guy around here turbo his p10 G20 with the VE motor. i only rode in it once though and i dont know if his VVL was working right at the time.
anyway, yeah. we are really into nissans with sr20s

Meh...from the sounds of it, there's quite a few Honda-bashers on here, but whatevs. I'll show you guys my ride. It's a 2001 Honda Prelude. Not the fastest car in the world, but it handles like a champ! I also have a Ninja 250..but I suck so bad at riding right now, that I don't even find myself worthy of mentioning that too often.

Haha, I took these pictures when I first threw on my new suspension (Tien S-techs and Tokico Blues). Its funny to see how much the springs have settled in since then. It's almost too low for my tastes now- at least when it comes to daily driving.

kinda slow, thats stock IROC times, my old pontiac managed 10.746 @ 144mph running a naturally aspirated 355cid with a 2bbl carb... but if you're one of those import tuner guys I guess 13 seconds is pretty good
maybe displacement plays an important factor

For a street car that only runs 4cylinders @8lbs on stock tires and suspension, I consider it pretty damn good. The car runs Sti's and Evos and beat WS6's, well ran.

If I had a choice of what kind of honda I wanted when mine was given to me... it definitely wouldn't have been a civic. If I were to stick with Honda as my manufacturer of choice, I'd be driving a prelude, but honestly Nissan is where its at.

I can't believe nobody on here drives a DSM! They are fun cars. I won't knock any of you or your cars, because any car can be fast with the right work and mods. I have beat Srt4s, Audis, a shit ton of hondas (Lol, but there are some fast ones), Wrx's. All types. I love racing. For you import tuners here is some of the major mods I have.
1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T (I should have got a GSX)
GT35r ball bearing turbo Greddy fmic 1000cc injectors DSMLink HKS 272 cams Walboro 255 fuel pump (I need to upgrade this..Hard to find something better that will work.) ACT 2900 Clutch
Too much to list. The car is fun as hell to drive. I still want to test it against something super fast. I did race a Lotus Elise one time and beat it pretty badly..But I also found out that they aren't as fast as they are made out to be.

Yeah...I'll never understand why they didn't make the Prelude RWD...or even AWD to improve its handling standards even further. I think Honda seriously prioritizes their Asian market way more than Domestically. That's why they still haven't developed many new innovations to their vehicles since the early 90's- at least, those which appeal to American customers. Honda is one stubborn company- and Acura doesn't even make any sense these days, period.

I'm guessing that's 32mpg with city driving, right? My Cadillac Deville gets 30mpg on the interstate and it's got a V8.
That little electronic gauge in your car that tells your your MPG is lying. Unless you have that active cylinder shutdown thing, but they haven't put those on a cadillac since the 1980's, my buddy had one, and it was shotty and a POS. Also it was a fleetwood I think.
My V6 3.5L chrysler used to tell me I got 48mpg at 55mph. Utter bullshit of course, the thing got like 18mpg. You have to remember you have to use a specific mixture of fuel and oxygen everytime to keep the combustion going and the timing correct, you can't just change it to save gas, or engine will run lean or rich.

What I would do is attempt is remove the Stock Air intake system and replace it...and also clean the fuel system with Seafoam.

Say bye-bye to those carbon deposits

My spedo only goes to 145, I hit the rev limiter in 5th gear at 162 though.

Rx-7 for life, I love how americans are obssessed with going on the 1/4 mile, especially the retards withs hondas. They think it's the best high ever, ever try a tight winding road, where every curve gives you a G or more at the apex's. Well here you go

Right now I'm driving the accord in the back 460+ miles to the tank.

I drive a 1987 MB 300SDL. It has over 350,000 miles on it and is a pile of shit but still out drives every car I have ever driven. I LOVE RWD. This thing also gets ~28 mpg and is a beast. Diesel is the shit.

I'm glad to hear that. I think the world would be a better place if more people drove diesel MB. But then again, fuck everyone else. That would just make them more expensive. I am hoping to get a "newer" one this spring. Same year, same model just much, much lower mileage.

Just got a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle TDI after totaling my Neon. 45 MPG is gonna save me a bunch on gas as long as diesel prices hold.

And I've heard this particular fuel can be derived from biomass. You did good.

Oh yeah. I've made my own biodiesel before from soybean oil but that was when I owned the gasoline car. There are a few suppliers of biodiesel blends around here that I will definitely be supporting. Even though it's usually only B2 or B20 every little bit helps grow the market.
There's also a few co-ops around that will give you a greatly discounted price on their biodiesel if you volunteer for a few hours a week. They collect WVO from restaurants around their areas.
