hey guys, I went mushroom hunting today and collected lots of mushrooms. they all look similar. I looked it up in a mushroom book, but I think they look similar to some kind of psilocybe or panaeolus. its the first time I went mushroom hunting, so I dont know much about it. I found them on a feedlot between lots of cowpoo. they break if you barely touch them. the gills have the same color as the muchroom. some have darker gills. I guess the older ones.

would be nice if anybody of you can help me. thank you,
danielle

Your mushrooms are in the genus Conocybe.
They are very likely to be toxic.

something that i find easy for id this ones is as you say of course the fragile of the stem and the efimerus of the fruit body , only live a day,or few a hours is the sun burned it ,the cone like cap(conocybe),and rusty-brown spores, psatreya also have a stem like that but have purple-black spores, last a bit longer and grow in groups more frequently than conocybe is sometime scattered

A couple species of Conocybe have psilocybin, but you can recognize those because the base of the stem will be blue.
Many more species of Conocybe contain amatoxins, causing death if you eat them.
