panaeolus huh?
    #7476390 - 10/02/07 04:54 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

hello,

I found these on some pastures at approx 1000m in Switzerland. The grass was rich and they were growing where the grass was even higher, where old dung must have been before (circles...). They were for most of them discovered in little famillies of at least 2 and most of the times about 8-10.
Most of them were in the same field (I did a few and this field was just overflowed with these...it was a well hidden field too...).
It's not the first time I go hunting and it's always so difficult.
Some of them look exactly like some Panaeolus sphinctrinus or campanulatus pictures I saw on the internet, but others look lot more like semilanceata. I don't know if this is valid but it seemed to me that the ones resembling panaeolus were more alike to be only 2 but semilanceata bigger families. Also of course the color of the cap can vary, I found that some had the gills almost completely black (what i would mostly think are panaeolus) and some are more greyish.... I don't know maybe all are the same panaeolus, it's really hard to tell, they are so unconsistent.

I think with these picture you'll be able to forward a hypothesis, though I'll be sure to check them with some methol. I think some paneolus are psychoacitve right?

thanks for your time

They all look like Panaeolus to me, probably all the same species.

They might be psychoactive.

They aren't toxic. Make sure the spore print is black on any you try.
