Possible Liberty's or Stuntz?
    #7475336 - 10/01/07 08:14 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

I found these after a night of hard rain. they were growing in the woods in northern washington in a mulchy/ leafy soil area. I have looked for cyans a bunch but dont know much of anything about making sure of a lib ID. These were no more than 3 inches high and were in a fairly poulated cluster the lighting is a little odd and in one of the pictures looks more grey due to sunlight where as the later pictures were at dusk. Thanks.

Interesting mushrooms, but the habitat is wrong for liberty caps.

My guess is Psathyrella.

The third picture is something else, spore prints would help on both of them.

I don't think either are active.

Actually, those all might be the same species....

Hard to say. The variable viscidity is throwing me off. They could be a lot of things. Psathyrella is possible.
