Please don't construe this as not being, "glad up to heaven" that you have found love and all that good sexy shit. I'm really happy for the both of you.

I thought we were talking about FWG and MT. Now I'm all confused again.

No, no, you want the "Over-sexed Unity Devices" thread.

PM? What does the Prime Minister have to do with the sex life of Shroomery members? Now I'm confused. Maybe I'll try the Pub.

I have always wondered why almost all over unity attempts involve the use of magnets?

Because magnets are some of the simplest yet least understood pieces of technology that a common person can own

I wonder if the universe itself could be considered an over-unity device. The modern atheist claims that the bang happened not because of any creator who who put energy into it, it just happened. Maybe the energy of the universe always existed, maybe it was created(consciously or not). There is now way of knowing, thats why I am a devout agnostic. But if there was no creator, and nothing that exists outside the bang and the universe, then it definitely is a over-unity device.
Also there is quantum stuff which many of you know about Im sure. This incredibly accurate theory says you can take as much energy from the void as you want. Conservation of energy need not hold over short times, but unfortunately we dont live in 'short times'. The energy you can take from the void must be re-paid, and quickly (other wise you get your legs broken)

Thats for sure. I still dont quite understand how magnets can do no work, yet can apparently cause a force over a distance.

I guess that makes sense... do people not understand the energy requirements to magnetize something... do people not understand that "permanent" magnets do not last forever... People would be much better off trying to discover something that approaches unity rather than wasting time trying to prove that everything we know and understand about thermodynamics is incorrect. (Thermodynamics are the only set of physical laws that I can think of that have survived both relativity and quantum mechanics...)

I think the universe could be thought of like that. Ive always thought of it as being infinite in some way. I wonder if life on earth without any outside influence, like the sun exploding, would just keep going forever re charging itself through the food chain or if it would slowly run out of energy. I mean, just the biological stuff, if kept in the perfect conditions, i wonder if it could just keep eating itself, and then growing, then doing it all again, as it seems to do.

My futuristic spidey sense tells me it will have something to do with converting matter entirely into energy. If the vacuum energy is the lowest of all possible energy states, it should be possible to cause matter to revert back to that state giving off an large amount of energy in the process.

Does that mean we create a vacuum, then stick magnets inside it?
