Comedies
    #7473555 - 10/01/07 11:27 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Few days ago I realized that all the movies I have are way too serious/dramatic. So I'm looking for some nice comedies to download. Tell me the best you know. :tongue2:

you can look into the wes anderson films like rushmore, life aquatic with steve zissou, the royal tenenbaums. i enjoy them. they're not traditional yuk yuk comedies though.

shaun of the dead is great overall.

or if you're more into the stupid kind of funny, there's always the college comedies like animal house, revenge of the nerds, van wilder, slackers, and many more.

Chasing Amy is by far my least favorite Kevin Smith movies, other than the one I haven't seen without Silent Bob and Jay in it, whatever it was called, Jersey Girl I think...fuck that, what's the point, Kevin Smith?? You should stick to making the movies that made you a hero like Clerks...but not Chasing Amy, cuz that wasn't even really a comedy and was way over the top with bullshit drama and it was dumb, but its ok that you like it donut, cuz you are a girl and girls have weird taste...but Clerks is still better.

I think Smith's dialog comes off as too pretentious when he gets philosophical. It is my opinion that he should stick to cheap toilet humor because it is there that his actual genius lies

Anything with Chevy Chase.

Particularly the vacation movies(Vegas Vacation kinda sucks but the rest are good), Caddyshack, etc.

Edit: Blazing Saddles is a must.
