PMP question - contaminants from FAE via air pump

Hi there, a foaf is about to launch into his second attempt at these little guys. First time was 4 years ago and was successful at the Noob level. This is still the Noob level, but a step up from last time. So I'd like to ask opinions on a few things:
1. Foaf has the PMP setup to a T and is excited, but he is pensive about contaminants being sucked through the airpump and projected into (through, and out of) the fruiting chamber. Is this going to be a problem? My question arises at all the contam preventative issues, like lysol-ing, alc-ing, cleanliness cleanliness, etc. If we do all this, but project normal air through a standard PMP, doesn't it defeat the purpose of much of the latter phase (that is to say, fruiting, not inoculation) of sterility?
2. From searching the forums and teks, I have it in mind to mix H202 with water inside my PMP. a) I'm not Crazy and get this crossed with something else did I? that helps eliminate contams? b) if so, what ratio is recommended?
3. I had a thought about issue #1. Maybe I'm crazy and I hope someone will let me know. Just brainstorming outside the box (or maybe inside...) Ok, so we have the standard PMP, air pump on outside feeding tubes in. Air pump takes in standard air. Idea is to have air intake from pump suck air from a hose connected to a little airtight container with sterile H202 mix, this little box acting like a water pipe - a tube to the open atmosphere into the mix, a tube going out feeding the air pump to the PMP. Would this just be stupid?
4. I'm using perlite in the PMP. Should I sterilize it all in a PC?
Thanks a lot!

for the most part, contaminations are kept at bay by the near constant flow of air throughout the box, never allowing spores to land in the moist environment and get a foothold. in addition, most of everything is going to be fairly resistant to contaminations at this level in their developmental cycle. they're healthy, strong, ready to fruit, and able to secrete enzymes capable of sterilizing their immediate vicinity and anything they touch. its only early on, and late in life that they are prone to contaminations, much like humans.
yes, its a very good idea to clean the water in the PMP rather frequently (for greenhouses and humidifiers, and easy to break apart setups, i suggest once a week...for the more complicated and heavy PMPs, i suggest every month or so. during that time, its quite common and likewise a-ok to add SAFE chemicals to the water of your PMP or humidifier. those safe chemicals (that i know of) are peroxide and iodine. in the case of a big PMP, you can add as much peroxide as you wish, as it'll simply be broken down into oxygen and water. i used to use a bottle per week (big quart bottle) between major cleanings. as for iodine, safe levels are 2-3 drops per gallon.
as for how to majorly clean, i always detached all my hoses (but left rods submerged), and hauled the box (all 100lbs or more) into the shower, and ran hot water over the rocks for a while. dumping out the water when full, and letting it fill back up. sometimes you could add bleach to this, but make sure its rinsed well before placing mushies back into it.

as a followup, since you're using perlite...i wouldn't suggest filling up the box in the shower, perlite sometimes floats.
so yea, you could bake it and rehydrate it, pressure cook it, boil it....whatever, to sterilize it. whatevers easiest for you with perlite.
