Congrats on taking it down OMR. This was a great season of fantasy baseball. Those who stuck around till the end all played well and I look forward to playing with you all again next year. For those of you who didn't stick around: I'm a little disappointed with only placing 3rd but theres always next season.

I'm disappointed with my 6th place finish, but at least I didn't bail on the league!
I like head to head much, much better than the rotisserie style we played this time.

Had to post it.
Three things about this.
1. OLF totally changed his team through trades. He had stockpiled closers in the draft and took tremendous advantage of a bunch of turkeys. Tough strategy but there were enough idiots that he was able to pull it off. 2. Fentanyl Furies had a monster draft but then lysergicide chose to pay almost zero attention to his team all year. He came up 123 games short outside of catcher. For comparison, OLF and I were both 5 games short. lysergicide essentially played a 148 game schedule. He got nowhere near the production he would have and he still finished fourth right behind Matt. If he had paid any attention at all he would have been right there too. Sorry Matt. 3. This came down to the last week. I think my last day in first place was Wednesday. Piazza Sheffield and Pujols were major disappointments and it was still only me and OLF, with Matt and lysergicide a distant 3/4 and everybody else well back from them. My biggest miscalculation was my batting average, which was dreadful.
At the trading deadline I offered a trade to Cowgold for Kevin Gregg. He didn't check in until after the deadline had passed but later told me he would have made the deal. Too bad. That would have given me a few more points in saves and I wouldn't have torched my ERA and WHIP at the end because I knew I needed all those points and not just some of them. Finishing second by 1 point is no better than by 6.
Great job by OLF catching and passing me, but as far as my preseason analysis it was pretty good. OLF totally changed his team and lysergicide decided not to play and still finished just 4th and way ahead of 5th
